So I recently discovered the whole rear door checks from a Nissan works with some modifications

I'll be doing that for the rears, just wondering about the fronts, are they the same as the rears?

The thing that keeps the door from flying open, almost like a detent to hold the door half open and fully open. You'll find one on front and rear doors, it's the bar thing between the door and jamb.

    Imma keep it stock
Toyota only shows 2 part numbers and I didn't see an option for DC. Only shows for AC

Right, I'm just trying to show you, you can look up the parts at the site, and confirm if front and rear part number are different on Toyota's side, it'll answer your question.

I have an AC, so YMMV. However I purchased those Dorman door checks and followed the procedure to swap the arms as listed in the thread you linked for my front doors. It was successful and my doors stay propped open and have a great amount of tension, I really noticed an improvement. Highly recommend this mod.

It should work for a DC as well, as essentially you are installing new rubber tensioner assemblies onto your OEM arms. Maintaining your factory arms is the most important part of allowing the door to swing open fully, so it shouldn't matter if it's a DC or AC.

Let me know if you have any questions about the install. Pretty easy, especially if you already have the interior door card apart.

Ah I see what your getting at lol. Yea I did look up part numbers and it's weird because it says the rear is 2 different numbers , yet the doorman part for the 06 corolla that can be modded for our trucks is same for rear driver or passenger. It does seem like the fronts overall have a different construction though, like a different style . Only way to know for sure would be to pull them out

Oh nice perfect, thanks for this! Yes I would imagine especially the front doors would be the same door check for DC or AC, and either way like you say it's just the rubbers that are swapping . Alright well I've ordered two dormans for the rear, maybe I'll use one of those for the front first and order a third one for the rear later. Somehow my front passenger door still holds with the door check lol, so I only have 3 to do

Used the Dorman parts for the rear checks on my DC. Gonna order 2 more to fix the front checks.
