I just picked up a 2024 Double Cab Limited a few days ago after putting over 400K miles on a 2008 Double Cab SR5.

When I lift up the driver's side portion of the rear bench seat, it will not stay up on its own. I have to hold it up with one hand while I access the under seat storage; awkward to say the least. The smaller passenger side portion of the rear bench seat stays up on its own just fine. Is this normal? Both sides stayed up without any problem on my 2008.

    Appreciate all of the help!

Have you tried pushing it back really hard? Both sides lock in the up position on my DC. However, at first, the cushion was so thick that I had to nearly “slam” it up for it to lock…if that makes sense.

That's what I needed to know! I'll give it a shot this morning and let you know. In my '08, I did not have to do anything special to lock it up, so it didn't even cross my mind to just push harder.
