2023 Capstone with 30,002 miles on it. In service now for turbo failure. I've had both banks fail within a week of each other after getting a random CEL. The first CEL said the general catalytic converter system. (passenger side turbo replaced) Then a week later a CEL that said malfunction in the electronic control of the engine blah blah blah...the result is the driver's side turbo has now been replaced.

Both turbos were replaced in warranty but I haven't heard of a double malfunction. My confidence in the hybrid motors not being affected by the engine recall is slowly waning.

Huh. I wonder what the mechanism of failure was. Maybe debris got into the turbo bearing? Or maybe the turbo blew up and sent debris into the pan and ate the other turbo? I’m just spitballing but two failed turbos as 30k miles is suspicious.
