My 4.6L is squeaking a lot in the engine bay. Sounds like it’s the drive belt. Can someone confirm that this is the correct part? Amazon says it’s not, but RockAuto says it is. I did some research on here, but looks like most of the posts are about the 5.7L.

Also, seems like Gates is recommended over the Dayco based on my search here. Am I correct on this as well?

Squeaks may just be the belt getting condensation trapped in the grooves... I have a 5.7l, which my tensioner went bad and stripped a whole chunk of my belt, but these are my part numbers which I ordered late last year.. Probably the same as the 4.6 is derived off the 5.7l.

Thanks. Anyone who specifically has the 4.6L able to confirm this? I think they are the same, just want to make sure before I pull the trigger.

You can go to a stealership online parts order and put your model truck with engine and search for the part number and it will give you a green check mark for yes or red check mark for no with an optional part number... good luck..

Using the links Roman provided above, the vehicle fitment includes both 4.6 and 5.7.

Ah crap, I ordered the Gates version. I read on this forum that Toyota used Dayco as their OEM manufacturer for these parts, which I thought was weird. Anyway, thanks for the info. Going to cancel the Gates order and go with the parts you linked. Thanks!

Gates makes quality parts. No need to cancel the order.

I've used Bando belts on my '02 Tacoma for years with no issues. I've ordered a Bando 8PK2415 belt to install on my 2010 Tundra 5.7L.
Here's a few popular brands of belts for Tundras. Finding out where the serpentine belts are made is no easy task!

Gates belt K080948 made in China $42.78
Dayco Drive Rite belt 5080950DR made in ? $32.83
Dayco Gold Label belt 5080950 made in ? $39.63
Continental OE Technology belt 4080948 made in ? $47.23
Bando belt 8PK2415 Made in USA $23.95
AC Delco belt 8K948 Made in ? $39.78
All above prices are at Amazon.

    Buy American when you can!

?My 4.6L squeaks horribly after sitting in the rain. Would a replacement like this help or do you think it's normal?

My 5.7 does this after it rains or the dew was heavy. It goes away after a few seconds of starting the engine.
