Can I get away with using 1 type of grease on my u joints, slip yoke and double caran joint on my 03? Don't really want to have 2 nasty grease guns in my cabinet...thanks

This is one of those what came first, chicken or egg, TP over/under....etc. Personally I prefer Moly-B on all lube points given it exceeds the requirements and is impervious to water, IMHO.

I use the Moly B in all drive shaft joints. I hear you on the Grease Gun mess. Mine has its own drawer where it weeps everywhere. I throw a few rags in there with it and use them to wipe rusty parts down.

So I’m not the only one with the weepy grease gun? LOL I do the same thing with the rags that I wrap it in. I used to hang it on the wall in a grocery bag with rags. Used to! Now it’s in a retired stainless food service tray.

I have a mini grease gun I keep in a ziploc bag...but all that does is smear it inside the bag and all over the tool...

Not much into unanimous decisions because I’ve read alot of them that are bs, but if you study both Greases they are the same excepting the addition of Moly B which won’t hurt the other joints. Been Greasing mine for 3 years now with success.

My grease gun has never weeped but I will note is is important to use a 4 prong tip instead of the cheaper 3 prong tip. You’ll know what I mean when the 3 prong tip sticks on the fitting and refuses to come off.

I ended up buying a Miller 4 prong tip from Grainger to put on my Napa grease gun.

This is good info as I never knew there were various prongs. I have one tip modified for the Front 4W Drive Shaft that slips on easily and another one that snags hard. I have a hard extension on the 4W Tip for easy reach and the flexible hose on the other for the rear shafts because the shaft can’t be lined up easily like the front.

Okay, my mistake. I had a 4-jaw grease coupler on my Napa grease gun. You’re really looking for a 3-jaw which comes off more easily and the manufacturer was Lincoln, not Miller; specifically the 5852 model. Here’s a picture but with the Napa fitting I took off in the package.

Trying to find the right moly b grease in the mini 3oz tubes. Looking on Amazon, not sure what I'm looking at since they don't give much description. Thanks for any help.
