I can't find anything on the internet about removing and replacing the driver door on a 2nd Gen tundra. My hinges are a little bent and there is a dent on my door. I want a paint job eventually but first I need a new driver door and tailgate.

It looks like I need to take off the fender panel to access the bolts holding the hinges on to the body. I'd rather do the job myself as a shop would probably charge more for labor than I'd have to pay for the door.

Does anyone have any guidance on things to do or not do, or a general order of steps? Thanks

Regular cab? I’m not home or I’d go look. But these doors are heavy. Get a bench that is close to height with bottom of the door. Use carpet and padding to not scratch it so it has something to rest on. I’ve done doors and maybe a second set of hands to hold it vertical if you can get them. So long as you hold the door vertical and don’t let it tip it’s much more manageable. Loosen bolts slowly, all at once. But keep one top and one bottom snugged until the others are removed. Good luck.
