My wife lost her 2007 Tundra in a head on accident that was not her fault. She hates the Forerunner we have, and as such has been looking at used V8 tundras, and her biggest complaint even against my 2021 is there is no driver side grab handle. What was the last year these were an option? I know it seems trivial but if it helps her get into the truck then not great.

I have been searching online and I really can't narrow down the last year it was featured in Tundras.

If anyone knows and can help out it would be much appreciated and would help allow us to narrow down a range on used Tundras.

According to Roman, who I am not sure if is still active on this forum, 2014 might be the last year.

Correction, 2013 would be the last year. Essentially, the 2nd Gen Tundras. 2014 and up are the 2.5 Gens without the handle and will need to be purchased separately to install.

Edit: Also, Toyota added it back in for the 2022 and up models (3rd Gen).

Thank you both. Helps clear it up, I do not see a need to purchase a brand new/newer Tundra and the extra cost of such if can get a used one with a handle or to add one after. I do appreciate it.

You can still add one in for the years it did not come with one. Parts are scarce/back ordered often, but it’s doable. On my list one of these days.

The handle will fit from 2007 to 2021 models. There is a kit that you can get that has everything....I will have to search for the part number.

Precautionary for all the tales of 6+ month waits and/or discontinued messages about buying OEM new on the grab handles from Sparks. I'd sooner hit up a wrecker and actually have parts in hand for a lot less.

I hate the grab handle and have a grey one that I'd be happy to trade someone. I'm guessing since the handle can be added there is some sort of cover?

I went to my dealership and ordered the two parts a couple of months ago - they had it ready within a week & at a pretty close price to Sparks.

You would need to order the original piece that would sit in the place of the current grab handle and the trim piece, though, I have no idea what that part number is, as most people are adding to it, not removing it.
Or if you find a local, do the install swap and you get their original interior piece for the driver side A pillar?

I can look in the garage and see if I still have mine. You can have it if I can find it.

62220-0C050-B0 is the a pillar trim part (in gray)
74610-0C082-B0 is the handle (in gray)

Then you'll also need to run by the hardware store and pick up:
    1x 1/4-20 bolt 1.5" long
    1x 1/4" flat washer
    1x 1/4-20 extruded u-nut washer

I think @Jaymohn moto is looking to return to non-handle state and needs the part number for the original A pillar trim piece

I would be happy to send you the parts from my '16 in gray to trade you, and cover return shipping back to me. Shoot me a message if interested?

I discovered this fact when I was looking at Tundras. I can’t even imagine trying to get into mine without it. What was Toyota thinking?

Since the grab handle is only for 2 gen tundras up to 2013, would it still fit the 2.5 gen?

on the site I don’t see it list 2014-21 specifically, but sequoia models based on links provided

Hey guys, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but would anyone be up for trying out our Ultragauge/Scangauge mounts in a 3rd Gen? I know they work well in the 1st, 2nd, and 2.5th Gen Tundras, but it would be great to make sure they work in 3rd Gens as well. Please PM me if interested.
