Hey all , leaving for Cleveland this weekend to see the Giants/Browns game this weekend, never spent any time in Cleveland so I was looking for suggestions . Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Slyman’s are the two I have so far . Anything on the way into Cleveland from the east ? Any great restaurants , museums etc would be appreciated! Thanks in advance . By the way , taking my 2021 Tundra out there because it’s my favorite ride !

Fill up in New Jersey before you hit Pennsylvania and you can make it to Ohio for the next fill up. Pennsylvania gas is higher. Exit 234 off of I-80 westbound,

80 is a pretty boring ride, I usually pack lunch but there are plenty of fast food places all along the route.

In Cleveland, "The Flats" has a nice night life. I enjoy going here...

but there are plenty of restaurants and bars all around there.

Cockeye BBQ in Warren, OH on the way into Cleveland. True foodie joint with their own Ice Cream shop next door. Outstanding people running it.

If it was me, I would swing by the lake to check it out on the way in, maybe Headlands Beach State Park

Also on the East side, The Cleveland Museum of Art is spectacular and located next to the campus of Case Western Reserve University, at a spot called University Circle. The Natural History museum and a botanical garden are also here. A Frank Gehry-designed beauty hosts the Weatherhead school of management, if you are into such things. Also here is the Western Reserve Historical Society, which hosts a tremendous collection of historic automobiles (the Crawford collection) inside a museum that also hosts a fully restored carousel you can ride. The current auto exhibit (through Sept 20), beyond the normal collection, relates to the Chevy Corvair.

If you want to experience a Cleveland treasure, maybe try and visit the West Side Market while in town. It lies in a rapidly-gentrified Ohio City neighborhood which also boasts some breweries, pubs and diners that may be of interest.

At the lake on the west side is Edgewater Park

East bank of the flats has some decent fare and an opportunity to watch a freighter pass up the river. Look for ‘The Lake House’ and surrounding fare.

If outdoor activities are more your speed, just south of downtown is the Cuyahoga Valley National Park - lots of hiking, or you could cruise down to Brandywine Falls (60 foot waterfall) etc. The national park also hosts an outdoor amphitheater concert venue (Blossom) that hosts The National and The War on Drugs on Saturday night - I would be there if I were not out of town.

Also not that far south of Cleveland is the football hall of fame, if that is of interest

That should get you started. Hope you enjoy your time here.
