    Hello,
Time for new rubber and was looking at these two options. Both in a LT 275/70r18. Anyone have any pros or cons for either? The Kendas would be about $300 cheaper out the door but looking for opinions.

    Thanks!

Also open to other ideas in the LT 275/70r18 size with a 3 ply sidewall. Preferably not mud tires though.

If you look at the Duratracs, make sure they're the 3 peak rated ones. Heard horror stories on the non rated ones. Personally, if I were looking at ATs, AT4W Falkens are the top of the list, in my experience. Although, the amount of love for the Kenda's on this site is pretty eye opening. But they're not cheap enough to justify not buying a more well known brand

Yes I was wanting to get the AT4s however, they are not 3 ply rated in this size. The Kendas on Amazon of $1196 shipped. Then have to go to a DT to get them installed.

They're 3 ply rated at the quoted size

Oh. I was looking that the website and per the Falken website the LT275/70r18 tires are an HD sidewall which they say is a 2 ply. Did I miss something?

We dont really use 3 ply ratings like we used to but from what Ive read, their 3 ply. Load rating is used more in tire capacity anymore. Lets say they are 2 ply, but a E load with 3400 lb load rating, what would prevent you from getting them?

I understand load rating and capacity. I currently have those tires you mentioned with a 2 ply sidewall. Have taken them a few off road places with sharp rocks. I won't do it again. I would like to have that 3 ply stamped sidewall for peace of mind I guess.

I can’t speak for Duratrac RTs, I’ve only ever had older duratracs. I don’t have any complaints with my Kenda RTs. They have great traction, looks, and aren’t too loud for how aggressive they are. The weight is also not bad. My 285/75r18s are 63ish lbs. in Load E. Kenda has been making tires a long time contrary to how it may seem. Kendas were my go to on my dual sport bikes, granted it’s a totally different application.

I love my Kenda Klever RT’s. They have been great in every condition I have put them through. Mud, sand, rain, snow….

I have the Kenda's on my 2016. Installed them 4/2024. Tread wear has been minimal and wet/dry traction has been fine. Mostly driven on surface streets.

Check Walmart prices on those. They could have them on sale.

awesome thank you all. 285/75r18 would be nice. I am running a +25mm method whell with aftermarket front bumper. Anyone think that would cause any issue with a BMC or anything? Wasn't considering 285/75r18 honestly

I have +18 offset and 2/1.5” lift and have no BMC issues but I guess it also depends on lift height and alignment. My front fender liners have also been modified for a while so not sure if there would be an issue with untouched ones at the front or not.

Thank you, I have about 2.5 upfront with maybe an inch in the rear with HD springs.

    I have Kenda Klever R/T's on my 2011. 33x12.5 R20

I've them since mid-2023, and I've been pleased with them until recently. I picked up a slight wobble between 50-60mph. (Still slightly feel it past there). Changed out (upgraded) rear and front shocks and UCA's, and I have the tires on a new set of wheels. No change. The shop that mounted my tires and did the alignment said one of the tires wore differently than the others and it won't balance properly. (Almost 10oz of weights on that one wheel with the odd tire). I don't know if that is a one-off QC issue or caused by something else.

The Klevers have done very well on the road, snow, wet pavement, and what little mud that I've put them through. (I don't overland).

They have a little noise, but not outside of my expectations for an R/T at the size that I'm running.

    They are heavy tires.

Ride comfort on pavement is okay, again, within my expectations for an R/T. I run mine at 35psi most of the time.

    Thats a good looking ride!

Seems like the tires are doing okay though. Sorry to hear about the wobble.

    Thank you!

I do like the Klevers. The R/T's are a big change from the AT's that I was running prior to these. But I am not unhappy with them.

If you want AT's with robust sidewalls I would suggest Baja Boss At's or KO3's.

Was looking at these. Im wanting to try out the KO3 in 285/75r18 but hesitant on the size. unsure about fitment with a 18x9+25mm offset. Haven't heard too much about the KO3s honestly

I just bought some Duratrac RTs 265 70 R18. Hopefully they don't suck.
