I installed a RetraxPRO XR tonneau cover on my 2022 TRD-Pro a few months ago. Works well, mechanically. No water leaks! However, on a recent trip to Big Bend National Park (BBNP) I had major issues with dust intrusion into the truck bed after driving on dusty 4WD roads in the park. Everything in the bed was covered with a substantial layer of fine brown dust. Yuk!

    Anyone else had this issue?
Operator error? (The top was latched tight.)
    Solutions?

    Regards, Ed in OKlahoma

It’s caused by the gap between the tailgate and bed. Dust comes right in and Coats everything if you’re going too fast.

There are plenty of options to stop it from happening. A towel laid across the back end of the bed to cover the gap works. There are also aftermarket solutions like weather stripping. I have used this on my tundra and frontier: https://retrax.com/gate-gasket-seal

Regarding tubing: I was able to "engineer" a tight fit (pathway for water) between the ReTrax roller box and the existing hole in the bed with several sizes of with "Tygon" vinyl tubing.
