I know that ECGS sells the front diff drivers side needle bearing replacement bushing to fit 07+ tundras but has anyone actually installed one in a 3rd gen 14+?

I put one in my 2nd gen at around 145k miles with great results. My 3rd gen doesn't have the same 2wd low speed growl that goes away in 4wd symptoms but just wondering if I should do it anyway as a preventative maintenance item?

I did it on my 2010 too with good results. But if you don’t have the symptoms, would it be a waste of money and time? Id wait to do it til/if yours goes out.

Only because I like tinkering and it's a known failure mode. You're right I should probably leave myself something to do later on!

Still curious if it's just that no one has noticed it yet on 14+ or the issue has been fixed in later years? I haven't gone through part number comparison yet to see.

In interested as well, I know it was a big deal with my Tacoma when I lifted it. Ended up replacing the bearing.

Is the bearing ok on the 2019 trucks?

I hope so, my '16 front diff growls in 2WD like a rabid lioness in heat when the temperature drops below 40 degrees. I hope to change to the bushing next year
