Greetings fellow tundra owners. I wanted to share a conversation I just had with a tech at Edge. Short back story. I had a Ram diesel I used the Edge in to monitor the engine. It worked fantastic. I sold the Ram and bought a 2023 Tundra, awesome truck I might add. Anyway, I installed the Edge to monitor the engine and it doesn’t read the tundra. Called the tech this morning, and he told me that the Edge doesn’t read the Toyotas. I asked him why, and he said that Edge “hasn’t cracked the code yet”! He said to try it in a year and they should have the code by then.
Has anyone else who has the Edge experienced this? It’s hard for me to believe this is really the excuse. Now I have an expensive devise I can’t even use.

Yea that’s probably what I’m going to have to do. I was hoping someone on the forum was using the cts3 and could shed some light on how they connected it. I really like the cts3 but just can’t believe it can’t read a Toyota.

The wheels from your Dodge won't fit. Your keyfobs from the Dodge won't work on the Toyota either. Just a different vehicle. Stinks, but I'm sure you can resell your Edge box to someone with a Dodge that can make good use of it and buy a Scangauge or some other OBD reader that displays the Toyota info. Good luck and welcome aboard!

    I have a CTS3 Evolution in my 04 Excursion, 6.0

To think they are using an excuse to crack Toyota's codes is an absolute insult. Maybe coding for tuning, but not for monitoring. They just don't want to support the Toyota community is my thoughts. So... all the readers out there which will read these codes via wired or BT are so far superior to Edge who claim they can't crack codes. You should have slapped that person silly through the phone.

That Edge CTS3 is not designed for the Dodge alone. They will connect to and monitor and change tunes on Fords, Chevy's, Dodge, GMC, and Cadillac. One device across the board, with 2 models. One is only a monitor and the ability to upload engine and transmission tunes through. It's really not like a wheel or a keyfob.
