Eibach UCA's better than Freedom Offroad for 2.5" lift?

    Hello Everyone,
    So, I had an accident. Truck hit ice and I never recovered. I have to replace the right UCA, but I'm wondering if I should change both and do all the other stuff I was planning at once. I found a great deal on some Eibach UCA's, but I can't find much on them in terms of reviews. I currently have the Freedom Offroad UCA's on the truck. Would love any feedback anyone has. Thanks

    I think they are just rebanded SPC arms, if its a good deal I would snag them.

    There won't be any warranty with it but that's a good deal.

    Actually, it's an authorized sellers, so there is warranty. Are they measurably better than the Freedom Offroad ones?

    I have the Freedom Offroad arms and so does my friend on his 06 Tundra, we both like them. I think the SPC arms are good for trucks that cant get a good caster after a huge lift.

    Personally the Freedom arms are fine for what I am doing.

    I have the Freedom's currently. I haven't had issues, but now that I have to replace it is hard to find individual arms. I ordered the Eibach's because I can return them if I want. I live in Canada right now, and up here they are over $1,000. I have a box in the States, so even if I don't use them I may be able to sell them. It's just really hard to find any first hand testimonials on the Eibachs, but I guess I should just look at the SPC testimonials.

    If anyone else is interested in the Eibachs I believe there is one pair left. Message me and I can send you a link.

    Fucking shitloads better. To be blunt. Get the Eibach/SPC or JBA. Skip the cheap tubular shit. I run the Eibachs. They are 100% SPC in an Eibach box.

    I knew I could count on you weighing in with a "blunt" reply! Good to hear. I purchased them for less than the Freedoms and now the cheapest I see them is $617, so I'm pretty stoked I stumbled across them when I did.

    What I’ll also tell you is this:
    • Good luck finding any alignment shop who actually understands how they work, so you can fully utilize them to their potential
    • Before install, ask around on where to clock the UBJ. The instructions only tell you what setting will put you at “OEM”; you may want to use a different setting to inject a little more caster from the top half of the wheel
    • Be very careful you install the UBJ sleeve the correct way into the knuckle (it can go in top-down or bottom-up) - it’ll tell you the correct way on the install sheet, they changed it at one point.
    • To that point, this is one time you really want to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALL AND UNDERSTAND THEM FULLY!
    • The UCA is slotted, allowing the UBJ to slide out or in for more/less camber; I recommend you get the UCA centered as much as possible in the slot before tightening its top nut down, and don’t change it unless you have a very good damn reason!
    • BEFORE you drop the truck after install, you MUST tighten that UBJ nut you centered up, enough so that when you lower the truck down onto its own weight, the UBJ cannot slide in the UCA’s slot! Don’t waste any time after dropping the truck, torque that UBJ top nut down to the listed spec, I think it’s 185ftlb, maybe, but confirm that since my memory is ass sometimes. I failed to do this or set my torque wrench incorrectly (maybe I did 165 and it said 185?), and after 3-4 trips, the UBJ slid out of position.
    • EVERY TIME anyone touches your suspension for alignment or otherwise ALWAYS check that UBJ top nut for proper torque!! If not, guess who is paying for a new alignment?!!
    • Obviously, if you don’t have a good torque wrench that’ll do 200ftlb, you should have one before install.
    Thats all the wish-someone-had-told-me advice I can share. Kickass pair of uppers! Wildly adjustable! Stouter than a friggin rhino! But again, probably more adjustments than most people need, which can be a plus or a minus.
