Engine bay cleaning and quick detailing

What all do you guys do to clean underneithe hood? Obviously you can't spray and wash it. Do you just spray with McGuires quick detailer and wipe with terry rag? Also, do you do the same thing if ypu need to spot clean on the exterior?

 

Use a AP diluted (all purpose cleaner) light scrub if needed. Low pressure rinse wipe down with a good shine product or spray with amsoil mudslinger. Stay away from electrical stuff do that by hand.

 

I always do this while engine is running.

 

Spray with all purpose cleaner. Brush what you can. Rinse with garden hose stay away from alternator. Air compressor blow dry.

spray tire dressing (I’ve used meguiars hyper dressing) and walk away (wash rest of vehicle) then buff dry what you can.

 

Wet down with hose, I do not disconnect or cover my battery, spray with Super Clean, dwell a couple minutes, some light agitation with wheel brush and any other brush I need to use,rinse off, repeat if necessary, blow dry and hand dry as needed, 303 Aerospace for protection. I only do this once per year. Do not let the Super Clean dry in place.

 

I use Tub O' Towels Heavy Duty Cleaning Wipes under the hood on all my vehicles. You can get them on Amazon if interested. They also have a spray, but I've never used it. The wipes work well for me so I'd expect the spray would too.
