Wondering if someone can duplicate my issue. I have a new 24 Tundra 1794 (non-hybrid). Love the truck. Have less than 1000 miles on it. At about 700. The other day while sitting idle following at 20 minute highway drive, I punched the accelerator to about 4-5k. I did this 3 times and each time, upon releasing peddle, I had a significant engine vibration. Makes me worry. Is that normal? Thanks for any insight.

Don't know I don't do mine that way. Have no reason too. If it still drives normal and that is only time it does that when rev it up in park. I wouldn't do it.

If you’re punching the gas pedal in park. You are hitting the rev limit at 4k it will shake.

Thanks. I won’t do it anymore! Drives fine. No other vibrations.

I didn't know it hit rev limiter at 4000. I learned something. But, it doesn't do it while engine is under load.

In park your revs are limited to the 4k “ish” When in drive the rev limit is at its normal limit.

    Too many, but not enough....
My old ranger did this too. It's so you don't blow your engine being stupid or if your accelerator gets stuck somehow or something. Actually one of the safety features in cars I think makes sense lol

There’s a soft limiter at 4-5k rpms in Park truck will keep the waste gates open so you can’t build boost. The shaking at limiter is normal and has to do with the slight give from the motor mounts as your engine speed rapidly changes.
