    Mornin' folks.

Before I go out and stick an EZ Pass on the windshield, I thought I'd check if there are any issues with location on the Tundras. I had loacation issues on my Wrangler when I had that, and then there's a restriction my Subaru due to the Eyesight system... So, any issues with the Tundras?

Morning…not EZ pass holder but similar tolling system here where I live.

I think in general you need to place it just below that big bulk of a camera/eyesight/etc that most cars have nowadays (not besides but just below and in the center)

it’s what I’ve been doing anyway and no issues (just that it’s another piece of item that I would prefer not to see in the Tundra’s already shrunken viewing area but it is what it is I guess)

I have mine mounted on the upper right side of the windshield next to the rear view mirror. No issues with either the transponder or any of the truck systems.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I’ve put the EZ-Pass behind the rear view mirror. Works great!

The panels that send out the signal are located under the toll booth canopy at least in my area of Ohio. On other vehicles like vans don’t get the signal in time if they are placed on the dash.

Trust me I’ve been behind those individuals and had to back up and watch them take it off the dash and hold it on the windshield and drive back under those panels.

Windshield up high behind the mirror is a safe bet.

I have mine centered below the mirror. Just a touch below the black casing and to the side of the dash cam. The picture shows it a bit off center, but that’s just an optical illusion from the angle the picture was taken. I like it there because from the inside you cannot see it when driving as it’s covered by the mirror. I have not had any issues with sunpass/ezpass since I bought the truck in September. It seems like every other road here in Miami has tolls and they have been emptying my account for tolls. As far as the electronics in the truck, no issues. I have the digital mirror and a
The dash cam within inches of the unit and they work fine. I had the sticker type before on my old truck but naught this one so I can use with rentals. 60DBE6B3-C5A2-415D-BB9D-32E78FF2F3B6.jpg

I remember those days when you had to stop and pay before passing go. Here in Florida, at least the major roads we no longer have toll booths that you stop at. If it can read the transponder, you are charged. If not, they charge by-plate. Either way they get their $$$. Most of the spots you are charged at random points in the road with the cameras mounted spanning the road.

It's works on the glass anywhere around the mirror except for the area with solid black vinyl. I tried it there initially so you couldn't see it from the outside, but had issues. So I moved it to the black dotted area and that's been fine.

Haven’t mounted mines yet, I just pull it out when I use it. I assume you’re a daily commuter going through tolls.

2 types of transponders in Colorado. One uses the lower left corner of the windshield near the driver. The other 'switchable' types goes center high on windshield. That is utilized for HOV. I used the one in the lower left corner with no issues, but am going without on the new truck. They just read the plates

Here we use mostly the second type..and while you can go without as they do read the plate it will cost you about $2 more, so we are all encouraged to get the pass for that reason alone

Here in MA when I got my other car I drive around quite a bit on toll roads before I got my transponder and never got a “pay by plate” bill. I don’t have one yet for the Tundra, kind of curious to see if I actually get billed.
Pay by plate is more expensive here in MA…although not if the system is crappy enough not to catch your plate and charge you!!!

I mounted mine inside the sunglass storage compartment. I dont use it for my sunglasses so I gave it a whirl. Works without any issues. Out of sight out of mind.

That's where I put my ezpass too, and it seems to be working fine there... it's the only thing I can think of, I might need that little tray for, and it's behind the large screen, so out of sight to me. :)

I alway put my EZ-Pass behind the rear view mirror on the passenger side. You can’t see it at all from the drivers side and it seems to work well.

+1 for just letting it sit in the little tray on the dash next to the power outlet. I go through tolls up and down the east coast a few times a week and it's never skipped a beat.

Dumb question here but I'm going to ask it.
I'm in SC, we only have one toll road and it was a waste of money when it was built, they will never get their money back. I travel a bit in GA and will be going to OH soon, last time I drove it all of WV interstate is toll, I'd like to get EZ Pass but notice you have to get it per state. How does that work?
If I'm not a resident can I get it and does a GA EZPass work in other states?

I got mine from NH - when I lived in VT - I now live in FL - it was the cheapest near me. And, still use it in my truck, you can check on that. Not sure it matters what state you get it from - NH up front costs were the cheapest for me at the time. Not sure what the costs are there or elsewhere at this point. I use the ezpass for all my tolls from FL to VT when I travel there 2 times /yr. I use the preload and autoload, so if it runs out during my travels, it autofills. You get monthly reports on activity.

Quick goog search I was also curious about the out of state purchasing
E-Z pass can be purchased in any participating state. They even recommended shopping around that all states charge different
E-Z Pass works in all states that have the system the list is on line and it appears that almost all states with toll roads are ez pass

I have my EZ Pass from WV for my frequent trips through that state, but it works on all the toll roads here locally (NC) as well.

Bingo, that's exactly what I'll be doing. If GA is going to honor it soon that's gravy for me. I'll be able to hit the express lane to get TF out of atlanta as fast as possible when I have to go through there.

I do not put any junk on my new Tundra's windshield... I have the Pass in my hand on the glass when I pass under the toll and it works just fine. Other than that... the sticker stays in my center console.
