What's the general consensus on removing the black plastic factory mud flaps behind each wheel? Also what about the two little air dams on each side of the bumper that stick down. Thanks.

I would've kept mine on if I could have.

I had to take mine off because of Bushwacker pocket style fender flares. I would've kept mine if I could've. I get mud/dirt mark right behind the wheels (front door and bedside) rather quickly after each car wash without those flaps.

Same here...I would have kept mine as well but had to remove the front ones due to minor rubbing. Truck gets dirty quick without them since my tires stick out about 1.5 inches.

I did keep the rear ones.

What about the two on the front bumper? I guess those are air dams right? Should they stay or go?

Got rid of those as well, no clue what the purpose of those are...

I took all mine off, but I think I'm running a slightly narrower tire, Nitto 285x75x18...

Funny, I just took mine off on Saturday.

Running 275/60r20 and I get muddy either way.

I'm not worried about mud as much as gravel roads. I have to drive an hour at 60 mph down a gravel highway once or twice a year. Haven't tried it yet with my flaps off.

So basically leave the mud flaps but remove the front two air-dam dams right?

About the only good use I can see of the "air dam" pieces is keeping your fog light backings relatively clean
