I have a crew max platinum showing up next week. Only add in is floor liners.

I want to add powered running boards - factory if possible.

Anyone know if there’s a part number or out for the factory powered running boards?

also it looks like AMP doesn’t sell them yet.

Wrote a note to AMP - they didn't have the courtesy to write back. So not sure when they'll be available but assume they're suffering supply chain issues like everyone else.

I called Amp a little while back asking about buying the steps and or the bed step. In the description on Toyota site builder it has a note saying Amp Research patent blah blah blah. But the Amp guy told me they weren't making them yet.

I figured with the slow roll out they either didn’t even have one yet, or just haven’t had enough time with it to design them and roll up production

Ya, to bad aftermarket companies can't get early releases to prep for the upcoming market. Like cell phone.

if i bought the factory ones to install myself, i would only get it as a full kit --- if they sell one?

um you cant buy it as a kit thru the parts dept., its not loaded in the parts catalog as a kit, hence the piece meal comment.

i asked... this is what they said

"Thank you for contacting us. We have this project on the books but unfortunately, we do not have a firm release date as many factors play a part in getting the part to launch. Please keep checking back as we are constantly updating the website with new and future product releases. Have a nice day!"

I feel like amp I building these “factory powered steps” but can’t brand them theirs just yet due to some deal they agreed on with Toyota… just like the stock tonneau cover it’s a back flip cover branded Toyota… probably have to make sure they keep up with Toyotas initial demand before processing individual orders with this crazy part shortages bs.

That's right on target Jkwolfe09. Same thing goes with the bed step - sure looks like Amp. I gave up on the powered boards and went with aluminum Toyota branded - no idea who actually makes them.

Although they'll probably so far different, I'm keeping my power steps off my '19 and will see about getting them to fit my '22 when it gets here hopefully in 2 months.

That's surprising to hear. Not sure about the power boards, but Toyota brand bed step is identical to Amp.

I wonder if the bed step is Amp's and just not the side steps.

I had Amp Steps on my 18 and just installed the aluminum TRD steps on my 22. The amp steps should mount to the 22 because the sliding brackets on the AMP steps. Not sure in the up position if they'd hit or not because the rockers have a different shape. It would be interesting to see the fitment though because it should work.
