Factory top speed limit

Is there a way to remove the factory speed limit on a Tundra? Is a tuner like bullydog or similar able to remove the factory set limit or are there any other ways?

 

What is the mph factory set speed limit?

 

About 107.

 

My truck is stock, but does have 275/70-18 tires. Power cut out at 110 for me, which makes me think it would cut out at 105/107 with stock truck on stock tires. Not condoning driving that fast, but I needed to today in an emergency, and having the power cut at that speed was unsettling/distraction right at the time when you don't need a distraction! Otherwise the truck was very strong and stable.

 

Thanks, I had not done any hard pulls with my regular cab before I had a dealership put the TRD SC tune in my truck. And was curious what the factory cut off point for mph was,now I know.

 

haven't found out yet in 2.5 gen but in 2 gen it was about 97

 

I would go as far as to say it's not a tuner if it can't do that. Bullydog, VF, HP, all of them can disable the limiter.

 

On my second gen it was around 110. About the same in my 21.

2016 5.7 standard, non flex fuel

 

Bullydog should remove. They advertise it will. I’ve personally installed several and it did. I’ve read forums where some guys say it didn’t. But I’ve never personally seen that.

 

So a fallow up question with the speed limiter taken out what is the top speed It can do?

 

If you have deep pockets,master tech status and own a private island, your Tundra should do a 9sec QM!

I'm not sure, mine stops at 122-125
( not wot)
