I did a search and couldn't really find thread that I felt I could post the solution that worked for me. I have a Samsung S24 Ultra and I had trouble with the Toyota Qi charging maintaining a connection. It would say it was charging and then would start blinking saying there was an error and stop charging. I will say my S23 positioned correctly would charge every time. I read a lot of the posts and saw that the Toyota charger is pretty weak and it got me thinking.

So I decided to try a test and I went into my settings under "Battery", Charging Settings, and turned off "Fast Wireless Charging". Now my phone charges continuously and does not have an issue maintaining the wireless charging connection. It does slowly charge but no slower than it did before. It is about the same rate that my S23 would charge.

I hope this helps some folks. I am not sure where the same setting is on an iPhone. But I would be interested to hear if this fixes anyone else's wireless charging issue on the factory charger.

    Good luck.

I was looking for a thread here that went over this. I am looking for a solution as well for my iPhone 15 plus. I don't use a case and it doesn't charge my phone at all. The Qi chargers are partcularly sh*t, and I don't know what made Toyota think they were a good idea.

Has anyone found aftermarket replacements? I would even consider ripping apart my dash to swap it out it is that bad.

I have no issues with my iPhone 13 Pro. It connects and charges just fine.

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. If it's folded, we have to add a small block under the phone to lift it up high enough to reach the charger coil.

try moving it a touch to the left of the retaining bar thing, try 1/4”-1/2” to the left.

I have tried every which way, and looking at the tear down of an iphone 15 plus, and the layout I think is in the QI charger, I even tried flipping my phone upside down to charge. I feel like even if I have it perfectly connected, it still goes off an on.

I just picked up my 2024 Limited and have the same issue with my iPhone. Will not maintain a connection. Will keep an eye on this thread for a possible fix.

I had the same issues with the factory setup on my Pixel 7 Pro. Swapped out to the EFF and have ZERO issues maintaining connection. The Pixel 7 Pro doesn’t fast charge with the EFF (well documented) but considering how frequently the stock unit disconnected, the charging speed is a wash for me.

I really like the EFF unit because it can be installed without any easily reversible modifications to the truck and maintains the stock appearance of the truck.

I said I would consider ripping apart my dash to get in there, and this looks to be the solution I am after. So I will put my money where my mouth was and order this. I'll update this thread when I order and it comes in and I install. Thank you for the link.
