Has anyone attempted to get warranty coverage from Falken on the OEM tires? It was claimed by Flaken that there is an issue with the alignment specs from the factory for the 2022 and 2023 MYs. The truck as been maintained per Toyota guidance on pressure and rotation of tires. Has anyone heard about 24TD01? Response from Falken Tech Support.
"The photos provided show outside edge wear; This is considered irregular wear, which is not covered under our manufactures warranty. This has been an ongoing known issue with the 2022 & 2023 Toyota Tundra models. This is typically caused by incorrect alignment settings from the factory. We have worked with Toyota and validated there are no issues with tire construction, compounds, etc., and assisted Toyota engineering department with checking the factory alignment specs. It has been determined the original factory specs cause increased outside shoulder wear and Toyota engineering department has created better alignment angles to help promote flat even wear. Toyota issued a “Limited-Service Campaign” for the 2022 and 2023 Toyota Tundra’s (on 18” options but the 20’s are exhibiting the same wear pattern), I recommend contacting Toyota’s Brand Engagement Center at 1-888-270-9371; reference the service campaign number (24TD01) and let them know your tires are having the same wear issue the tires under the campaign are."

So I'm dealing with this right now. My dealership has had my truck for almost 2 weeks saying the tires are on backorder. And because this is a "safety issue" they cant cant release the truck to me until they get the tires. I'm supposed to hear back today about a timeline but it's not looking good.

Apparently Falken wants this brought up to Toyota since it is happening to vehicles other than the TRD Pro.

Can they just credit you toward the purchase of better tires so you can get something in stock? I assume you have ATW3a's

I spoke to Toyota and since this Service Campaign is not tied to my VIN the representative dismissed me and my concerns about the tire wear and tire warranty.

Not an issue with the tires, so Falken should be off the hook.

Incorrect alignment has been noted on the 3rd gens and has impacted trucks without the falkens as well.

According to Toyota only the TRD Pro not the Limited TRD Off Road. It is surely BS cause it's the alignment specs for TRD across the board not just the Pro. This will be a forever finger pointing exercise between Falken and Toyota

I had the Falken AT3's (18") on my 2008 for many years with no issues at all. I bought the 2021 Tundra Limited Nightshade (20") and the edges went very quickly causing serious driving issues when going above 70mph. I have a new set on now but they are the updated AT4's and I have had no issues this time. I doubt it was just the factory settings as I had mine aligned every 5,000 miles like clockwork. I think it is the angle they set it to in the factory AND when I get it aligned using the the same angles

theyre not the same tire though...the oem Falkens are junk. Store bought/true AT3's are heavier, better quality with deeper lugs. This issue is 110% an oem alignment spec problem....even my 22 Platinum started showing wear on the outer edges with oem alignment specs

What is the right angle and how do we get them adjusted to those and not the bad angles?

Spoke with the service department today and they said they've gotten two of the four tires in and don't know when the other two will show up. They couldn't give me a straight answer on reimbursement or not.

Apparently Toyota only believes this pertains to the TRD Pro

Anything further on this? I have the Limited TRD OR package on the Hybrid with the AT3Ws. At 2500 miles I can see the outside edge is wearing already.

If the SB is not attached to your VIN Toyota doesn't want to hear anything about it. Falken is pointing at Toyota. Result is typical these days no one taking responsibility.

I had the issue with Nitto Grapplers (OEM) on a non-Pro. It had a noticeable pull to the right and the steering wheel was canted to the left when going straight down a flat road (no crown). Took it to my independent tire guy at around 3k miles and said it was off from the factory. He straightened it out with a thorough alignment and no issues since.

*edit to add* all lane assist, etc features were turned off before I left the dealership parking lot, so it wasn't that.

I am dealing with this issue on a 2024 Platinum w/Offroad package. 5000 miles check up and the camber and toe we all out of spec and tires showed feathering on outside edge. Toyota said my VIN not included, even though dealership noted same alignment issues and premature wear/feathering issues. Toyota care and branding numbers are of no assistance. They said I dont have a tire or wheel extended warranty so out of luck as my VIN is not included even though I have the paperwork from dealership showing the Toe and Camber being way out of spec and they note tire feathering as such. Really disappointed in Toyota

I am at the dealer now after 2 alignments at 19,700 miles on my 2024 Tundra TRD Pro with the original factory tires. The tires started the edge wear @5k mile service and alignment was done at first dealer. At 10k mile service, more wear outer edge and another alignment different dealer stating first one was done wrong. At 15k service noticing very excessive uniform wear across the tire. Now at this 20k service, one tire is under spec at 2 and the other 3 tires are at 3 so all need to be replaced at less than 20k miles. Toyota is trying to talk to Faulkin about the warranty, which will either lead nowhere or a prorate which is crap, or a delay tactic to see if I will buy my own. I want tires for my $80k truck that last at least 75% of the 55k mile warranty.
I will be putting on better tires and should just do it now, but I am not spending over $2k on tires if the problem is not fixed.
Any updates on a service campaign for the 2024 years?

Did the alignment get fixed finally? Did you get the public spec Wildpeaks?

I may have to do the same, but being my 3 Tundra in a row since 2007, I thought Toyota would be better like they have been in the past and why I have stayed with them, including family members now.

I got a new alignment and it seemed to be better but time will tell. I got the same Wildpeaks that came on original truck. They are not ideal but happy to have new tires and better alignment. Per my original post, the alignment was really off per the dealership.

They measured the tires today and offered me a prorated deal on new tires. Total for 4 out the door at $505 installed and alignment checked. They would not give me the cash difference versus new so I could get what I want. The offer is from Falken and Toyota will do the labor. Thinking about it for the night and the new tires will be in on Saturday.

Thanks for the offer but I checked what I had access too. Do you have access to something the general public may not? If so, I can give you the VIN. I am to lazy to get up tonight.

I took their offer so that I can make sure the camber wear on the outside is fixed before I put on the better tires.
