What are you using for front fender/hood area antenna mounts. For lexus and 4runner and even old tundra the same bracket fits which kind of pokes out under the hood and then you can mount a weboost antenna there. Whats there on the 2022+ Tundra?

Antenna Farm shutdown due to owner’s health. I had to order mine from Alberta Radio Supply https://albertaradiosupply.com/ but haven’t installed it yet.

hell yeah! nice truck dude. that has a small screw that is recessed into the paint right? Allen screw? similar to other lip mounts? the only downside to the lip mount I bought, if you run a longer heavier antenna the screw made itself loose over a week from driving around, recommend maybe thread locker?

ah why not? 70cm is fun. I only play with analog, when DMR first came out it was cool but to me isnt real radio just like echolink, and VOIP internet radio. On my taco I had a comet SBB7 NMO almost 70 inches tall. I use to love to make really long distance SOTA type contacts from high above. that is FUN! and chasing ao-51 when it was still alive.

DUDE! next mod I wanna do first is get rid of the UGLY ass SR5 grill LOL, need to install the switchpros under the hood and in the cab next. and figure out a way to mount my dual arb compressor. I know that SDHQ is coming out with one but I do not want it in the fender well, dont want to cut shit. might have to put it under the passenger seat.

I ran the same mount on my Taco, used it on the UpTop Overland rack with no issues over the 3 years it was there. On the Tundra I'm wanting a lower mount so I've bought the Alberta Radio Supply fender mount. I still have the Comet mount if I decide the fender mount isn't working. Right now still trying to decide where to mount the radio.

that! I am on the west coast NV, for now. getting off the west coast in the next 6-8 months tired of it. NC mountains is calling my name. I wired it directly to the battery and found a ground spot under the hood . for now that is. when I install the switch pros I will add a fuse block . I wish there was a nice tray arrangement out there, not even power trays has anything decent yet, and there is hardly any room under the hood.

Like such, I bought a power trays wiring kit/fuse block, just connected them the right way, the keypad has a cable that connects to the system, you can control it wirelessly through the bluetooth app when the truck is of or on. its nice, also has tons of modes, strobe, flash, etc. like this

Your mounting is one I've been thinking about. In the Taco I had the radio in the storage under the rear passenger seat with the faceplate on a lido seat bolt mount which I liked but I'm looking at getting the Rago Dash storage plate to mount the faceplate with the radio either mounted under one of the front seats or even the rear seat storage box. Since the temperatures have now dropped below 100+ it is getting time to get serious on installing the radio. I've also thought about mounting my HF rig instead of using my current SHTF setup.
