gonna get fender flares but the question is should I color match them with the body or leave them black or line-x them. Planning on doing the rear bumper, front corners and bed in the line-x. Any thoughts? For pple that have fender flares on their 3rd generation, please reply with the pics of he beautiful beast.

On my 1st Gen...they are color matched and love them. Will be keeping them that way also. Might be able to tell in pic on the side. This coming spring I will start adding the mods. I plan on leaving it white, accents of chrome and then adding some black.

If u r linexing you bumpers I say you linex the flares.

I decided to install mine black until I have funds to paint.

Black actually looks good with the MGM. Its not like it is white, blue or silver where it would really stand out.

We just recently did a Sunset Bronze with unpainted flares, and I think it turned out awesome.

I think it depends on the look you want. If you want more of an off road look, leave em black. If you want more of a clean, sharp look go color matched.

@Roman where are these in the parts catalog? I can't seem to find them.

Thanks for the reply everyone. If I do decide to go the color match way then I should get the smooth flares without the bolts and nuts yes? Thanks y'all!

It really depends on how much your wheels/tires stick out. Bushwhacker makes 3 different flares

    1. oe style - you can buy this pre-painted from a lot of places - about 3/4-1" coverage and can retain oe mud flaps
    2. extend a flares - only comes smooth black - 1.5" coverage
    3. pocket flares (with bolts) - comes pre-painted or smooth black - 2" coverage
    choose your ammo!

I color matched mine. But have seen some left black that look good too. So I guess it is just personal preference .image.jpg

They're not in the Toyota catalog. We stuck on a set of Bushwackers. :)

    Flux capacitor!
There are several ways to do this pending your personal style. I would vote to paint the fenders. I personally don't like chrome and black on a truck. So if you leave the fenders black I would paint or linex the chrome on the bumpers and grill surround. It's only money right. Lol
