I have a few questions if somebody would be willing to assist me. So, I am currently looking to add fender flares to my 2008 toyota tundra sr5 crewmax. But I am unsure on what style to look for or what brand would work best. I am preferably looking for a style in which the fender flares go over the bumper cover in the front. The styles that don't meet the front bumper don't look as good to me. I am open to all recommendations and suggestions. Thank you, in advance.

I'm not sure of any that go over the cover but the Bushwackers are the more popular ones.

Bushwhacker makes two styles of flares for the oem look. Make sure you purchase the ones that you want to work with or without mud flaps.

If you want “pocket” style flares bushwhacker also makes those as well.

Lund used to make an oem style fender flare but I haven’t seen them listed in a long time. They were also more expensive.

Factory oem ones were the only ones I can recall with certainty that covered the front upper pad.

Good luck finding oem flares, I’ve been on the hunt for two years.

Yeahhhh I'm not sure either. But I have seen a couple of pictures in which they look like they do. I have heard of bushwhacker brand, I might have to give them a try. Thank you sir.

Yeah, I have been searching for a while myself which brought me to reach out on here to see if anyone has had luck. I have heard/seen bushwhacker more than any others, might have to give them a shot, I appreciate your help.

I personally went with Bushwacker over the similar offering from Smittybilt, which was a bit cheaper, after hearing that the Smitty’s “tend” to have more rough ends/cuts that need to be sanded or cut prior to painting (if you opt to do it like I did). But strangely enough, I’m really not a huge fan of the simulated hardware look, but I ended up buying them over the smooth option because of two things… One, the smooth flare offers a little less coverage (wanted the most), and bafflingly, the smaller flare without all the hardware detailing was $100 MORE. So pocketed Bushwackers they were. They’re a quality product. The supplied 3M gasket seal makes for a clean application.

When you get a chance, put PPF behind the seals so that they don't rub through your paint.

Sounds great! I appreciate all the help and suggestions. I'll look more into them myself, but I'm liking the build of your tundra.

I’m pretty sure the Bushwacker OE flares cover the bumper pad. I have a set waiting to go to the painter when he has an opening to fix the Bambi-fied bumper cover and fender.

Correct. The OEM flares do. The aftermarket pocket style BW's do not. The Barcelona was my 2013 before I sold it.
