Just curious if anybody has found some plugs for the floor mat retainer holes. My past three vehicles have had the same style of retainer and after winter is over and I remove the floor mats to clean them there is salt and gunk on the carpet right around where the hole is for the retainer so I would like to plug it up if possible.

Very good advice. I was definitely going to do that, was just checking to see if someone already had some that they had purchased and that worked well.

That would be awesome if you found one that works in your kit. And the one you posted looks like it would have to have one that would work.

You, my friend, an example of what internet forums should be like. Not trying to get all lovey-dovey or anything I just appreciate you taking your time to help.

Funny enough, that's what I'm doing now. It's okay, but I wanted a more reliable option that can't fall off. Works for now though.

Oh, you want to cover the hole and the clip on the drivers side? I was thinking you had holes on your mat on the passenger side and crap was getting in.

Correct. The passenger side I siliconed up but the driver has the retainers so I can't just silicone it up if I want to be able to remove it.

Most ACE Hardware stores carry a huge selection of grommets such as these. Just take a measurement and I am sure you can find them there. Also worth checking a Fastenal store also.
