Searching through this forum I see several threads about floor mats that have been around for awhile, so figured it would be good to get an updated 3rd Gen-specific discussion going on floor mats/liners. Companies make improvements/changes so suggestions from 2015 seem to be less helpful for those of us looking to upgrade here.

Reading through from what I can gather, the two most popular brands are Husky and Weathertech, but I'm interested in gathering feedback from those of you who have made the plunge on all products made for 3rd gen Crew Max. Some brands I've looked at (front and rear):

    • Husky (X-act - seeing this is much better than the weatherbeater) ~$240
    • WeatherTech (HP) ~$215
    • Rough Country ~$175
    • Tuxmat ~$200
    • Maxpider 3D (Kagu) ~$195

    • Others?
What are some 3rd gen experiences here? Hoping to get high-quality, easy to clean, no-to-low mat movement, no-to-low slippery surface, good floor coverage, etc. Rough Country seems to be the cheapest here, but is quality lacking?

As a matter of fact, my WeatherTech mats should be delivered at any moment. I will update with my thoughts after I install them.

I've got the husky x-act in this truck. Weather tech was in my last two. I'll take the huskies anyday. Mainly because there not slick as owlsh!t like the w.t. when wet!

Only have had the truck 2 weeks, but I went with the Husky X-Act Contour. Bought on Amazon and delivered in 1 day. They would get my vote if it counted for you.

I ordered my husky from realtruck.com and got them pretty quick. And I THINK we get a discount there because of this forum. I didn't know when I ordered mine but feel like I saw it in a post somewhere since.

I just had a chat with an agent on their site and they asked me to reach out to forums@realtruck.com.

In the meantime I’ll look for that vendor list. Thanks!

I bought the Weathertech HPs for the 23' and has the non Hp's in the 2020 and several other vehicles at the house. The HPs are definitely not shiny glossy, and will not be slippery after the car wash cleans them. How will they last in the long run, I have no idea. The non HP's have yet to wear any holes in with right heel. Either model fit very well, after you let them unspring from packaging in the sun before installation.

I just installed the WeatherTech HPs. They fit perfectly as expected and look good. Now I can store the factory 1794 mats, which are very nice btw, in new condition for trade in day down the road. I hate ratty looking floor mats in used cars, but I’m kinda anal about things like that.

I’ve had all the brands over the years… Husky X are the best IMO.

My Limited came with the factory Tundra mats. I thought the factory mats looked good and were secure. Yeah, WeatherTech mats can be slippery. But I did eventually replace my factory mats with WeatherTech HPs. The sides go higher than the factory. I found with the factory mats I was getting a lot of mud on the side carpet.

Lots of good reviews on the lasfits out there. I have them in my wife's civic and they are great.

I've always run the husky xact fits in my trucks, but for the price I'm leaning towards lasfit.

They don't cover the entire floor area, and they don't have raised edges to confine the mud, dirt, snow, etc...on the mat, so the carpeting around the perimeter of the OEM mats gets trashed.

My OEMs are pretty nice but the side coverage isn't as good as the aftermarkets that essentially create a catch pan for slush water and dirt so that nothing reaches the carpet. I am still debating whether to get some or not. I have had Weathertecs in the past and liked them well enough but will need to look again at all the current options.

They are nice and all color matched but a bitch to clean out gravel & sand and I really don't like it when my boot heal burns a hole in the drivers side mat, then it looks like a piece of garbage when the rest of the cabin is pristine.

I have Husky's in my 2012 and they hold all the mud and slush. I picked up my new 2023 DC TRD today with the factory $150 all-weather floor mats and was very disappointed in them. Not only do they not have the high lips around the edges to hold the slop but they are also pretty thin/flimsy.

The Husky X-Act mats are the way to go. I've run Weathertechs for years in other vehicles and decided to go this route after reading several recommendations. They fit better, have better coverage, and aren't as slick as Weathertechs.

I have no personal experience with them, but Tuxmat looks absolutely ridiculous.

I’ve had both WeatherTech and Husky in other vehicles. I much prefer the Husky mats for all the reasons others have listed.

Got my Husky liners for the front. Very nice, and I love how they continue onto the sill to eliminate any crack there. I have previously had Weathertec and decided to give the other guys a chance. I like these being softer and pliable than the standard WTs but I believe that WT makes something similar nowadays. I only got the fronts because with a DC the rear is too small to put bipeds with feet back there. So the OEMs will suffice in that location. I also looked at those cheaper LasFits and they looked OK, but seemed to only come in full sets and then only for CrewMax. No DC version that I could see.

I purchased my 2022 CrewMax gently used, and the previous owner had already purchased the Weathertech's for it. They ok, but I've had the Husky Weatherbeaters in my last couple of trucks, and the WT are definitely a little slick compared to them.

Also, as several others have stated in previous threads, the rear ones have a lip that is supposed to lay under the rear door side pockets, but doesn't sit flat, and hits the door when it's closed, causing the edges to curl up. Very frustrating. I've spoken and emailed customer service with Weathertech several times, and they told me to let them sit in the heat upside down for a few days and try again, then told me to do it again with weight on them, etc... Always something different. I finally cut the edges off, which kind of defeats the purpose. The last time I spoke with them a couple of weeks ago, they said they'd send a replacement rear mat, but I've yet to see it.

Good to see all the recommendations! I pulled the trigger on the Husky X-act liners. Got them in today and very happy with the fit and finish. Highly recommend based on initial impressions.
