Hey everyone..... I just joined the forum and my first post.
I have 2012 tundra sr5 and it has a plastic front bumper. I know it has plugs wired for fog-lights but not sure if its wired up to install a switch on thw dash.
/does any one know about this? and if it is where can I find fog-lights to fit a plastic bumper??? all the ones I see for sale online are for metal bumpers only. I don't get why it's wired up but they don't make lights to fit... I'm new here so I hope the answer isnt already posted butt thanks in advance if anyone can help...

You could always order the OEM fog lights, and add the OEM headlight switch with the fog light controls on it. You'll need a relay too.

They list the fog lights for both plastic and chrome bumpers. The difference is the fog lamp bezel. Those are different part numbers depending on which bumper you have.

    For example:

I'm pretty sure all of the Rock Warriors had plastic bumpers and fog lights.

I lost what I just spent 5 minutes typing so I'm going to try this again.

I was looking up this information myself to install a set of fog lights on my dad's truck recently. I saw how much an original fog light bucket cost for one side and stopped after finding they're around $75 each.

I ordered a set of surface mount LED "fog lights" to install into the original block off plate in the plastic bumper before researching the differences between a chrome and plastic front bumper. After this, I found a chrome bumper fog light kit on ebay and ordered it because it had a ready made harness and a switch that popped into the factory dash hole under the headlight switch. It came with a relay, switch, harness, buckets, bulbs, and fog lights all together for $38.85 before taxes (Cheapest set on ebay with all the parts).

I figured I could always add in the surface mount fog lights and use the harness/switch/relay that came with the other kit if nothing else and that was worth it for me at the time.

So... The differences I've seen is that the "chrome bumper" fog light buckets mount to the sheet metal (I'm assuming) hole in the front of the bumper and have a hole to bolt onto a bracket behind the bumper. The original block off plate had 2 bolt holes in different positions that did not match the chrome bumper bucket. The plastic bumper also has mounting squares cut out to align the bucket and they also have mounting tabs to hold them to the rear surface of the bumper hole. Hopefully this will make sense after looking at the pictures.

Anyways, the "chrome bumper" fog light buckets were shaved of the mounting points and stuffed into the plastic bumper to see what would happen just in case we could make them fit. We ended up drilling 2 holes to line them up after getting them into the bumper and shoved some plastic trim clips into them to keep them lined up. The rear was fastened with a zip tie around the original mounting brackets and I didn't bother taking pictures of that (it's easy to do if you're going to bother with this project and it will be obvious).

    Here's the pictures.20201112_104341.jpg 20201112_104347.jpg 20201112_104352.jpg 20201112_104358.jpg 20201112_104917.jpg 20201112_104919.jpg 20201116_091536.jpg

I bought a set from Aliexpress ,admittedly for a metal bumper, but they arrived quickly and cost less than $20 delivered and work fine ...so far. May be worth looking on there? https://www.aliexpress.com

I've always had good luck finding things cheap on aliexpress when I'm not in a hurry. My dad has less patience so I went with ebay this time. He's a bit less patient than me.
