Which manufacturers have the lowest profile brackets? I really don't want the ditch lights to protrude like awkward after market accessories. I saw on Westcott's site that they have lowest profile brackets...IDK. Turning to the experts on this forum....thanks in advance.

I can't comment on the Westcott, but they look a lot lower profile than mine from DD. I have a few pictures on a different thread (ignore my sob story about my headlights...), but just looking at the Westcott site, I can tell theirs are a lot closer to the hood than mine. Those sure are a pretty penny though at $190...

Damn I remember reading your story...that is really awful luck. On the Westcott brackets..I hear you but everything from them is pricey.

The brackets all seem to be about the same sort of profile height as there's only so much you can go towards the hood without the bolt that keeps your light pod attached hitting the hood. My recommendation is to look at the size of light you attach to it.

435F1FB3-647B-4BA1-8D74-A7038A9F13F8.jpg I have the Cali raised brackets as well, the profile is low. I definitely recommend them.

I run DLs on my truck since it's pitch black out where I live out in the boonies.

The biggest difference, to be honest, is not so much the hood bracket but your choice of light pod. If you want as "slim" of a look as possible, then go with a 2-light pod design instead of a 4-light pod. Higher quality lights will also have lower profile mounting brackets (the silver part in my pic below).

I run Rigid lights for the most part, but I had these cheap Chinese light pods from Amazon sitting around. I'll use them until they fail. They're definitely a larger body profile & taller bracket than higher quality lights from places like Rigid & DD. Look at the pic at the bottom and you'll see how much closer the Rigid bracket sits to the pod housing than the cheap ones I have right now.

+1 for Rigid. Good middle ground brand for those not looking to spend a mortgage payment for LED lights.

How did you get the plastic cowling back on after mounting the bracket? I tried and tried until I was ready to break something and finally said screw it and took everything off the truck because I could not for the life of me get that plastic cowling to seat back properly with the bracket that rough country supplies with those ditch lights.

Them brackets are ok for small lights but I tried them with Baja Design XL80s and they shook real bad so I installed SDHQ pillar mounts. They might be ok with the smaller BD Squadrons
