My front driver side shock is leaking and I think it will just be easier to replace the whole coilover. Would y'all recommend the fox 2.0 setup? I will eventually swap out the back shocks to the 2.0 as well but don't want to drop $1400 right away. Any opinions on this setup?

A lot of guys here wouldn’t recommend fox 2.0 for tundra. They said 2.5 are better since it’s a heavier truck but give a try. I think I saw falcon had a group buy a few weeks ago but don’t know how they are.

I’ll give my two cents on these shocks. I have the Fox 2.0 setup on my current truck. I had them on my ‘17 Ford F150, and on my Ram 2500 CTD. These shocks are plenty for someone looking for street to mild offroad use. You’ll never blow through the valving in those situations. Use common sense offroad with these 2.0’s.

I have owned Kings and ADS in 2.5” and 3.0” shocks with supporting components on 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton gas and diesel trucks that were designed for chase trucks. While the bigger shock you can boogie more aggressive offroad, and with valving give you a compliant ride on road. The 2.0 range will be enough for a 1/2 ton truck not pushing it. Plus your 20” tire/wheel combo in your sig will not help with ride comfort.

My driving style with this new Tundra is different and will not see the dirt as much. Atleast any hard offroading.

Yeah I'm mostly doing street driving and the most I see off-road is down to some campsites or visiting muddy job sites around the city. I'm not looking for ride comfort as it rides nice right now, I just need something that won't blow when I hit these rough Houston potholes lol

I Have been happy with the 2.0s. My truck is 2wd, but has been off-road a few times. I have had no issues. IMO, they ride way better than stock or 5100s. They are stiff compared to stock. But more dampening than stock on big ass bumps. I am approaching 50k miles. I believe they are rebuildable as well...could be wrong. Oh...I live in New Orleans...we lose Honda civics in our potholes when it rains. Houston streets are nice compared to ours.

If I was set on 2.0s for the Tundra (though I think they are a bit small).
I’d look at the Eibach 2.0s before the Foxes. You can get the fronts and rears for 1k.

Talked to a guy at 4wheel parts and he said that the only parts that would fit my truck are a Bilstein replacement (would need to get a spring compressor from auto zone) or to have fox custom make me a set of coil-overs. Is this true? I'm finding it hard to believe that there are only 2 options of front end replacements and one of them being custom.

Can you recommend me some options here? I drive a lot for work and want to get this fixed, but want a nicer setup of coil-overs that will fit. At this point it's been a headache trying to figure out which brand/size will it on my lift.

As much as I hate 4WP. You might be limited with that 4” lift I just noticed in your sig. Get a hold of Accutune Offroad that’s a vendor on here. See what they say. Since they carry a variety of options.

If it was me and you can go back to stock height. I would get a set of 0-3” coilovers up front. Either a 2.0 Fox system like mentioned above or “cry once and buy once” and jump up in shock size.

learning the moral of the story here is 4" lifts are a pain in the a$$. Whats crazy is the stock Coilovers are on there right now. So I may just go back with those and call it a day.

That’s because you have spacers to gain the 4” up front on stock coilovers. In which does nothing for the ride quality. If there was no cutting involved with your 4” lift. Then easy enough to swap out for some aftermarket coilovers, and most likely take the block out of the back leafs.

Bds makes a 4.5 lift with fox 2.5s you can order the fronts and rears without a custom order. And either be nose high .5 inch or turn the front coils down to were you need them. They come with plenty of threads showing to adjust down.. just a thought

I ordered the BDS Kit with Fox coil-overs in the beginning of March just got off the phone with a rep that told me the order is held up by the coil-over portion of the order and I should expect shipment in July.

Oh man I guess I shouldn't have taken 6 months deciding which kit to buy....They are saying Eibach is not producing nearly enough coils to keep up with demand
