Does anyone have any experience with this company (Fr33 Lance Fab) selling complete build spindles. $700 for a complete set isn't that bad and you can add gussets too. I know many would say just rebuild your set for cheaper. I prefer a straight swap not having to buy extra tools or go to shop.

For about $400 bucks, including shop prices, you could do your bearings and hubs. So if the convenience fee is worth $300 to you, I'd say go for it.

But, the hard part and all the tools required is just to get them out. Once there, all you do is drop them off to have them pressed.

At that price it better be OEM or Timken.

I would need a press to remove any parts right? I really don't have the room for a press.

Pass on Timken. KOYO is OEM. Timken ain’t what Timken used to be

He’s saying you could pull your spindle and take it to a shop and have them do the press work.

Yes. Spindle you can remove with hand tools and a ball joint press.

The $300 convenience doesn't look to bad HAHA.

I noticed that too. I wrote to them waiting to hear back.

I believe @STravis with S.O.B. fabrication is in New Mexico, they could possibly weld spindle gussets for you at the very least. Might be able to help you with press work on the bearings, or know someone else who does good work on this sort of stuff.

I hear good things from AVS in Albuquerque. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. SOB fab is a great shop. I like all his work. When I get a 2nd gen I want to get his bumpers. His shop is about 2.5 hours from me. I'm located just south of Albuquerque. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Thanks for the tag!
Dom at AVS does some killer work and his fabricator is great at what he does. They should be able to get your stuff done no problem.

In reality, mine was just a pain cause I couldn't get my UBJ to pop out, no matter how hard I hit it with my purse. I had to use a ball joint press in a really awkward way to pop it out.

I’ve found that for myself, dust shields haven’t ever been critical on any of my builds. I also removed the dust shields from my tundra when i pressed in new bearing. It also makes it MUCH easier to hose off any mud off the brakes.

I thought about welding on spindle gussets to my spindles when i had them disassembled. I did a lot of internet research beforehand, and found out that it COMPLETELY changes the dynamics of installing the upper ball joint when there’s a spindle gusset in the way. So i passed on installing them. I feel as though i made the correct choice for my truck. I have no problems if anyone else choses to go the opposite route for their build.

Looks like Fr33 recently changed their prices. $750 for spindle rebuild, was $700. Weld on gussets $200, was $150.

With their new prices it would cost me $1,366.36 for a complete rebuild and gussets. That includes their $300 core charge. $1066.36 after core refund that doesn't include core shipping.

Sourcing parts my self with Koyo bearing, Dorman hub assembly and having AVS install and weld on gussets will have me at $719.47.
Ill save at least $350 having my local off-road shop do the work. No brainer. Go local!! Support Local!
