Heard a rattling on my truck recently, took a look underneath and found all four front catalytic converter heat shield straps were rotted and barely holding on, the shields themselves are okay but the straps and the insulating mesh on them are rotted away. I priced new ones and they are around $150 for all four pieces, there are two pieces per side. I have them off for now as they might have fallen off if I left them.
Has anyone else had this problem? My truck is a 2010 with 57k miles on it. Thanks.

I just took them off of my 05. Probably do the same with my 12 when the time comes.
