I am looking at upgrading to 295/70/18's. I currently have a 5100 billsteins up front with a level (1.9?) and 33.14 tires that came with the truck. With this current setup, I seem to have LOTS of room in the wheel well and not even close to rubbing anywhere.

I am wondering if I need to trim or move anything forward and I can't tell if the liner has already been moved fwd or if there is room to move it fwd. From the rest of the pics I took it looked like I have a couple of inches to spare as the 295's are only an inch or so larger. I also have a new set of Ray 10 wheels that are 25 offset.

Front passenger wheel well now with 33

Front passenger side front liner behind bumper. Is this supposed to move fwd more?

The drivers side wheel turned in to the closest point.

Buy washers and move your bumper slightly to front. If you get any rubbing in front. But perhaps you'll get rubbing in back.

In my experience, drivers that have rubbing issues with a slightly larger tire is when going in reverse at full steering wheel lock.
I had that issue with my +18 offset wheels.
But I ultimately returned the wheels because they wouldn't balance..
    YMMV...

If you are running stock wheels, 8 inch wide, +60 offset and have a front stance similar to a Pro, 2 inch lift, you should be good.

Changing wheel offset, wider wheels can be a different story. Could need to move front bumper forward a bit with spacer kit or washers or remove or trim front mud flaps

I recall a thread in the 2nd gen TRD Pro forum on trucks running 295s and 285s, had lots of good pictures and info.

This is what I done. I had 295X70R18 at the time. I was preparing for 35’s or 37’s. I drilled two holes and pushed the liner back and put the bolt up through to hold liner back. Then put nuts on to keep it tight. Then I trimmed the excess bottom part of bumper off. I did use a heat gun to form the liner away from tire too. With that tire, I didn’t need to do a bmc.
I did do a bmc later and I went with a 35” tire. I have plenty of room.

Oh, I forgot to add that I trimmed off the bottom part of liner (around the front mud flap holes, maybe tad lower) where your arrow is pointing. It made it easier to tuck back away from tire.

A pic with my new 35’s. In the photo of bmc area, it looks close. But when you look back in at the bmc area, there’s plenty of room. It was fun grinding and making sparks fly. ;)IMG_5502.jpg IMG_5500.jpg

I got Vision Rockers. I think they’re +25 off-set. I got them from Summit Racing. The photo shows the 295X70R18 on the wheels.

I should add that I have a 3 1/2” RC lift in the front.
