Has anyone had issues with their front parking sensors?
On my 2019, the front parking sensors do not detect anything at the truck's 12-o'clock. Instead, it alerts at objects that are off the side, like drive-throughs and toll booths. This past weekend, I asked a service manager at my dealership about it. He said they are not meant to alert to anything to your front but are meant to alert to object off to the side. Does this make sense? Thank you for your time.

That’s the way it was designed . If you look close at the front of your truck you’ll see the sensors on the sides and none in the middle .

There are only out-board sensors in the front bumper ends.
The rear has 4 alerting you in the center and rear out-sides....

I guess Toyota thought the driver had a pretty good line of sight from steering wheel

Would anyone in here know where I can get a replacement front bumper sensor? I messed up my old one trying to squish it into the new bumper shell I put on :(. I saw some online that state 2014-20 Tundra for like 30 bucks. I have a 2021 limited so not sure if it changed?
    Thanks guys

If only the taps broke, you could get a clip for it, if not you have to get the oem one

Which taps? The housing around the sensor came off so now the sensor can slide in and out. Basically my sensor doesn’t sit flush so sometimes it triggers movement but there’s nothing, so I think it picks up the movement from its surrounding housing if that makes sense.

Anywhere to get it cheaper besides the dealer?

It’s a proximity sensor, like when you’re pulling into a parking spot and it detects how close the object is on the side so you don’t side swipe it. It’s not meant to alert of items directly in front of you
