Figured I'd do a little write up as I didn't really see one.
I noticed the other day that the rubber that meets the vertical sides of our windows was twisted at the bottom by the little corner piece down by the wiper cowl so I dug in.
The weatherstripping is held to the metal piece by double sided tape that apparently lost its stickiness over the last 17 years.

The EPDM foam that runs the length of the inner sides of the doors when open needs to be pulled back towards the rear of truck as it hooks on the metal it presses onto back there. Then you can essentially just peel it off towards the front. This needs to be removed to access the screws that hold in the metal windshield part. Be prepared to either spray or go easy with the screws some can be rusted, strips very easily.
You'll obviously find a bunch.of gunk to clean.
I used a full chisel and adhesive remover to scrape off the old ds tape, took several applications and passes of scraping to get clean. Then alcohol and water solution to clean before new 3m tape.
Lay down the new tape Little by little close to the edge that where the rubber seal sits.
I'd say try not to disturb the top hard piece and the bottom corner towards the cowl. It's held on the metal with some sort of hard adhesive and is a bitch to get off.
I ran the new tape on the inside of the length of metal and used it to help hold the bottom corner on( this is how it was before).

The whole piece comes out as an assembly so once the top is loose the bottom corner needs to be tilted out from under the cowl gently to remove.

When installing the foam seal towards the windshield you'll need to start the foam on metal guide( it kinda hooks on the bottom and presses in over top) and slide it down towards the windshield under the little foam part. You'll see it when you get there just pay attention to how it came apart.
I put a fan of silicone over the plastic screw points on reinstall to keep water out.
Once back together run your hand over and between the top length of foam to make sure you got it pressed in right. It'll flop right off if you didn't.

Nice write up. Off topic question, did you paint the roof or is that wrap?

It was painted single stage when I bought it along with the black stripe on the hood. I had it repainted and cleared last summer because I got tired of trying to keep the SS looking good.that wouldn't be hard to.wrap though, next to zero difficult curves etc.
