Tried the search button, but found.. Not so much.

I couldn't believe that Toyota did not put an inline fuel filter on my truck, but I digress.

Has anyone put one in their 2.5 gen Tundra, specifically around the 2014 year?

Is it crazy to even contemplate doing this?

Dealer said no FF on my ride, just the sock in the tank.

TIA for any thoughts on this.

Pointless. How many tundras are on the road with hundreds of thousands, even a million miles with no fuel filter?

    All of them.

I added one to my 2021, mainly due to using a large aftermarket fuel pump that deletes the stock filter. There definitely is a fuel filter, it is inside the tank and part of the fuel assembly (there’s a pre filter and another main filter).

You can use a combination of fittings to put in a generic fuel filter as well, I think a few stores sell kits for our trucks/Toyotas to do this. (With or without deleting the main one in the tank).

But yeah sub 100k miles seems pointless, 200k and beyond depending on fuel quality no way is the OEM a lifetime unit from when I have messed with them, likely leads to burned up pumps eventually (then you replace the filter at the same time and magically its fixed).
