    stock for mpg
Stock 4.30 gears in 5th is 0.6% more rpm than 5.29s in 6th gear with the same tires, so 5.29 spin about 2400 rpm @ 70mph on factory tires, still spinning slower than a 2nd gen Tacoma 4.0L V6 6MT

If you're thinking of buying a Tundra, then you do not get to choose axle ratio with Toyota trucks.

With Toyota, you get the axle ratio that Toyota considers the best overall choice for a working truck (tow/haul) that can be used as a daily driver. For a 5.7L Tundra, Toyota's choice is 4.1:1 unless you have the tow package, then it's 4.3:1. You can forget 3.08:1 rear axle ratio in Toyotas.

The 6 spd transmission behind the 5.7 is so tall that even with the 4.30 rear end it's effectively taller than a Ford 3.73 6 speed. Going to 3.73 would be like a 3.08 Ford, which is why no one makes that set

I forget sometimes people don't know this, now the OP makes more sense haha

Get the tow pkg for the bigger rear gear 4.30. The new trucks don't even offer the 4.10 anymore

Lose all nonessential weight, and drive slower than 65 with a light right foot.

MPG and Tundra are contradictory. But, stock size highway tread tires (standard load- NOT E load) and keeping speeds @65 will offer the best MPG. You could see 19MPG on the highway.
