Saw this on Gen 1 and thought it would be good comparison wondering what others with Gen 2 are getting.

I reset mine after every oil change and I am about halfway to the next

    Location/ altitude- SC about 700'

What model truck? (RC/AC/DC) 2007 double cab

    Which engine? 5.7L

    2WD or 4WD? 4wd

Tire and/or gearing different from stock? Michelin LTX-A/T2

    Bed cap or cover? Nope

    What octane gas? 87

Extra weight? About 500lbs of dog drawers and dog boxes

    Performance parts? No

    Avg mpg 15

Tricks. I drive conservatively even though I know I can blow away most folks and reserve that for on ramps in heavy traffic
    .
Type of driving- about 60% in town and the rest highway driving from 60-70mph. Rolling hills. Variable wind. Some dirt roads.

I normally do not pay attention to fuel economy, but I will track it on road trips. I put 1200+ miles on the RCSB for Thanksgiving 2017 driving from N.E. Georgia to Central Indiana and back. I averaged 19 MPG under 75MPH, and 16 MPG above 75 MPH (sustained average highway speeds).

What model truck? (RC/AC/DC) 2007 Regular Cab Short Box

    Which engine? 5.7L

    2WD or 4WD? 2WD

Tire and/or gearing different from stock? Michelin LTX-A/T2

    Bed cap or cover? Nope

    What octane gas? 87

Extra weight? About 400lbs of inside the cab

Performance parts? No, but the rear suspension had been lowered

    Avg mpg 17

Tricks. I drive as fast as conditions allow
    .
Type of driving- Interstate through Atlanta, Chattanooga, Louisville etc...

    DS.KYToll_LI.jpg

Since that trip, I have added a hard tonneau cover, a DAP tune and a custom BAMuffler cat-back... I removed the Ranch Hand bull bar and replaced the tow mirrors. Maybe next year will be a good time to repeat that trip and see what's what, but I will not go through Atlanta so there will be more mountains & hills.

What model truck? (RC/DC/CM) 2010 RW CM

    Which engine? 5.7L

    2WD or 4WD? 4wd

Tire and/or gearing different from stock? BFG A/T KO2 285/70r17

    Bed cap or cover? Cap/Topper/Shell

    What octane gas? 87

Extra weight? whatever the Cap weighs (~150-200?)

Performance parts? AFE air filter & BAMuffler 10"

Avg mpg - Fuelly says my life time avg is 13.1 (202 fill-ups logged). Summer pulling a TT around AK i avg 8-8.5mpg. Summer not pulling I am closer to 15 and winter I am in the 13s.

    Tricks. no tricks
