A question to the hybrid owners...

Do have a HOV sticker to allow your Tundra Hybrid or TRD Pro to travel in the HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) lanes without the extra passengers?

I came upon a TRD Pro today and while I was sitting there watching those sequential turn signals and being hypnotized, I noticed that the truck had an HOV sticker on it tucked under the tailgate.

I am asking because either this owner printed a sticker or got one from the Ministry of Stickers! :) Ours is "Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure"

If this is legit, then this is a reason to get the hybrid as it can save you time on the road which means more time to work or play which can be priceless!

When I check the eligible vehicles, the Tundra didn't make the cut.

    Our stickers look like this:

Here is a clipping from our current eligible list:

I have one of these on my service car, BMW i3 and one of these on my wife's VW ID.4. If I could get one on a Tundra, I would quickly swap my gasser for a hybrid/gasser.

Here is the Truck with the sticker. (Tail light is mid-blink - not burnt out).

In CA is a hard NO. BEV only. Hybrid ship for HOV sailed many years ago.

    That’s interesting!

I am really thinking that this is someone who printed or got a sticker for a different vehicle. I did look at the eligibility when we were first looking at a Tundra and it wasn’t on the list then and still not on the list today.

I am not too sure how much the cops would scrutinize the truck if the sticker is there. The owner could just say it’s a hybrid. There is really nothing else that the driver would need to show if they got pulled over.
