Bought Toyota driver front window motor ( 85720-0C010 ) for 04 Tundra SR5 Step side (Toyota dealer vin checked) Replacement motor assembly has rivets that attach it to regulator .Original was approximately 8mm screws Torx Head. Tried to find out size of rivets to use. Tried even numbered rivets (metrics ) and none fit it exactly. Tried 3/16 (SAE) and it fit pretty tight .Put it together and works ok with new regulator I put in. After several months use it stutters a little when you raise it from all way down position. Will have to remove and reinstall motor. Anyone here ever had to do this ? Probably should have bought Aftermarket. May have to yet. It appears the original part was discontinued and was superseded with this part number. Thanks

I ran the Aisin unit from rockauto. Got the motor and regulator as one unit. Aisin is OEM manufacturer. Link below is the part I used on my 01 AC.

I bought the Aisin regulator unit from Rock Auto and swapped the motor over. Was just a few bolts to swap the motor over, no rivets in my case.

Did you clean and regrease everything after installing the new OEM motor?

Did you check for loose bolts when this started, so ensure it's not the motor?

I ask because the symptoms match what you'd typically see if a bolt came loose on the track, or if it was catching resistance either due to lack of grease, old grease hardening, or gunk buildup.

You didn't buy the OEM replacement part on scAmazon or fleaBay, did you? It's well-known there's an abundance of counterfeit/knockoff parts on both of those sites.

Aftermarket motors you'll find online are often reverse-wired, you may need to re-pin your OEM connector or they'll work backwards.

used white lithium grease -both motor and regulator new oem-No loose bolts use CDI nm torque wrench-NO Bought online from Toyota dealer
The rivet I used (tightest fit I could get ) must be letting motor move slightly on regulator- Ordered Aisin unit previous members recommended
I know this will fix problem

If room allows. Use a bolt and nut.
