With the oem sequoia trd pro grill hard to get and the headlights way too expensive plus $100 for filler plates and requiring $150 harness landing the whole thing over $2k… are the aftermarket offerings finally a better path? The vland headlights come with filler plate and don’t need a harness and are under $650 with coupon and the grill insert $169. Anyone have a better total solution for under $1k??

OMG Godzilla, way to derail a valid and needed post!!! Sparing everyone my genuine history….I just read a lot of related threads and they all $1600 oem headlights needing $150 harnesses $100 filler plates and there’s a shit down on oem sequoia pro grill and truly just wanted to boil down to the easiest “current” path to get the clean sequioa refresh as I hope there’s an easier path now than the early on threads. 3 of my buddies all have gen2 also so I finally took the time to do the forum thing and that’s the worst welcome I could have imagined. Apology accepted and u have a tundra?

Well, coming in with ads isn't a great introduction. The web is full of bots an con artists trying to get people to buy their stuff, so being suspicious of a first post that says "get the thing you really want for half price" isn't unreasonable.

Also, if that's the worst welcome you can imagine... you lack imagination.

Can we just delete this bs so someone that’s maybe tried some can reply if they r crap or decent? My Instagram is same name as this profile. I truly just haven’t been on forums in years and finally this project was worth it

I have the version of VLAND headlights that are exact sequoia replicas and I have no complaints. Paid $700 for them last year and came with filler plates.

People will say to go the oem route but I didn’t have 2k to spend. Some have said they were patient and found deals on oem lights and did it for $1000-1200 but I surely didn’t

Oh that’s too bad! Great info and looking forward to hearing back on the AM. I saw another offering that including harness and filler plates from Form Lighting for a bit more $999. I was hoping to have more confidence by harness and light from same company. I think the headlight and grill from the newer sequioa is really a big enough update that if we could narrow down to the decent options it would be worth making it a sticky or whatever at the top of the forum. It’s that good, but the orig oem option was just too much $ and too many parts and now the oem grills have been mostly shut down anyway due to so much interest. Ring in the expertise and let’s find the easiest path. If there really is one, it’s be worth a group buy, I’ve got 5 buddies myself that need this refreshed look. Thanks!!

Real good info guys, was gonna say if ebay can’t enforce (or post 30 days) PayPal can usually save the day as they got 90 days or maybe even a year. Let us know on the AM and how total price comes out with everything. I’m still hoping someone finds a set with the built in harness and filler plates for a good price and quality. Thanks!!

Are the lowbeams LED or Halogen? I wished they were HID. Do you guys know of anyone who did an HID retrofit for these headlights?

If you didn't have LED DRLs to begin with, and the new lights have them, you'll need a harness to get them working.

LED headlights is one of the best upgrade for gen2s imo. Both form and function.
I went with Morimotos myself. Post pics when you got everything buttoned up.

Been looking at upgrading the head lights. Is it safe to assume the Sequoia "replicas" are brighter than those of the Morimoto / Alpharex?

Are the AM-Autoparts and the FORM lights essentially the same? It seems the FORM has sequential turn signals and doesn't require a harness but other than that does anyone know if they start out the same, they just modify the LED / wire harness?

Price wise, the Am is a tad cheaper ($660 lights, $140 wire adapter, $100ish for the trim panel $900 total) while the FORM ones are $1,000 most places.

Plus their warranty is significantly less...

Do the AM-Auto / Go Parts have automatic level adjusting? (I don't think the Sequoia had that option).

I have the vlands and the quality of mine were fine. Luck of the draw I guess.

I think the led headlights are very bright, but the light throw isn’t as far as my previous setup (hids in both headlights and fogs). When I click the high beams on though, I can see a great distance and it’s lit up brightly.

Not sure how this compares to oem sequoia lights.

Has anyone used headlight depot lights? Im really liking the $400 savings over morimotos, but I feel like I'm gambling with anything other than those as far as quality is concerned. I'm all over the place when it comes to this piece of my build.

Im pretty sure you do need to buy these separately and dupli-color paint will color match everything fairly nicely.

The VLand headlights come with everything you need. Panels and all harness.
I was going to get oem but didn’t want to wait for the harness. For $700 the glands light are awesome. Fit and finish is great. It has been over a year and no issues. I painted the panels myself
