Mine could get that if I only ran highway miles. That's pretty good.

Do you get accurate mileage readings when you have 37’s?

Drive home tonight. Hand calc is usually about .5mpg lower than the confuser shows after multiplying confuser number by 1.1. No belief required.

    Off track...
Denon is very good. I bought a Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck while stationed in Japan back in the day. Early 80's. Paid a grand for it! Sansui amplifier too. $600. Low, low distortion. Bought a MacIntosh receiver from an Air Force buddy that he bought while stationed in the Azores! Times have changed. Tube receivers and amps were the best. CLEAN
My Technics linear drive turntable was $300. 80's dollars too. Oh, Klipsch speakers. Damn expensive... thanks for reminding that their toilets are a bit different. Ha!

    That is pretty good.

I averaged 16.5 mpg for the first 1,000 miles on my truck.

    How fast do you drive?

Stock wheels/tires, 3.5k miles on the truck, I am getting 19.2 MPG with cruise control set at 75 over a 400 mile road trip. My lifetime average (80% city/20% highway) is ~13 MPG.

Apparently very slow. I’m getting 16mpg highway at 85mph in 97* weather high humidity. 17mpg at 80. 19mpg at 70 but sucks to drive that slow.

If youre commuting at least 60-70% + hwy miles, don't have aftermarket tires, and aren't getting over 20.5 mpg, youre not driving right.

These trucks are most certainly better in the mpg department no matter how much people want to say they're not then the 2nd gen.

    I went from 21.5 to 18.5 with 70% hwy. (Put on 35s)

I have hand calculated every tankful since purchasing the truck. The indicated mpg on the dash is almost perfectly accurate every time (within 0.1mpg). I’ve got as low 13.7mpg on an all city tankful with a couple short boat tows mixed in (3,000 lbs).

this truck definitely gets begged mpg than a 2nd gen, but in my experience not too terribly much. Maybe it’s the Florida heat? My mpg got worse as I drove it down from MO.

I'm 3,000 miles in and only averaging 11.3-11.7 mpg. 90% city 10% freeway. Did not expect for it to be that bad..

Man you surely do a lot of driving…very good on mileage however.

    I used to be ~18 on 295s and a 3” lift on my 22.
Now I am at 17 bone stock with my 24 Pro…though part of the reason is that I do “dip into that throttle a bit more” :D

    50/50 mix…probably about 8K miles per year

If I do strictly 100% city short commutes (13 min round trip to daycare and back) my tank average is around 12mpg. That’s with summer blend fuel and warm temps. That is where my last tank was at 225 miles into it. However, that commute has maybe 25% flat road. Rest is up and down small hills.

Long Hwy runs I’m in the low 20’s. 22mpg minimum and have seen 24mpg.

So I can see 11-12 ish mpg with 90% city driving. Especially if you aren’t a flat lander and/or hit the gas every now and then.
