    FYI

just installed the glass break sensor in my 2020. It was plug and play on my truck. Techstream activation was not needed.

Your truck will need the factory alarm installed for this to be plug and play.

I’m not sure at what year this started because it seems Techstream was needed in the past on earlier model years.

I have attached the instructions my dealer gave me that appear to be for 2018+ but not for sure on that.

If it came with GBS then you have an alarm.

I have a standard fob, how do I activate this alarm?

An additional fob is not needed. When you lock the doors, the system activates.

Mine had standard door and hood triggers.

I added this sensor to my 2011. I didn’t need Techstream activation either.

I think if you have the alarm already active then it’s just as simple as plugging in the sensor module and microphone!

Get an app for your smartphone that will make the sound of breaking glass.

Not sure that will work. It is likely a pressure sensor as much as a sound sensor.

To test it, I tapped on my driver window with my key and set it off
