Looking at purchasing some side steps, I like the look of the predator steps but think the Go Rhino RB20 would be more useable. Anyone have any experience with these, how are they holding up? The only potential hang up with them is that they taper back to narrower step towards the back of the cab and not sure if that's going to look good. I'm also open to suggestions if anybody knows of a more cost effective solution.

    +1 RB20.

Function 9/10 (wide and adjustable platform. Underfoot traction is excellent)
    Looks 6.5/10.
    Price 6/10.
Ease of installation 9/10 (Mine came with printed directions for a Dakota. The download directions on the website are missing a page.)
Customer service 4/10. (They eventually got it right but seem to lose boards, fail to track or send the wrong boards)
Unexpected benefit: Protect against parking lot door dings and rock sling from the front tires

Disclaimer: I've never seen a pair of steps that I thought looked good. Alas, function over form for me.

I love mine. Easy install... functional well.
My wife and my mother like the wide step ( Mom is 72 and only 5’ tall )

    Is the taper noticable?

There is some width difference from one end to the other. 7 3/4" tapering to 6 1/2" on the DC model. Sure, you can see it with a discerning eye, and is noticeable from a side view as well. The boards are reversible, so you can mount the wider end at the front or rear by switching sides. I think the design idea was to have the wider platform for driver and front passenger where it is needed most often. And, a smaller platform for rear seat passengers where it is used less often, and for the kiddo's with smaller feet. I've tried it out from the back seat and their is ample platform for adults as well.

I think if I end up getting running boards (my wife hasn’t been in my 2021 yet, only had it a week) That will be determined how hard it is for my wife to get in. I get 295/70/18 next week. I think the RB20 look the best. I don’t care for their logo on the side but oh well.

I did see a YouTube today that had some Tyger blade steps that look similar and are roughly $200 cheaper than the Go Rhino. I too, don’t like their logo placement. https://youtu.be/DgA9tHGfmsI

The small plate on the edge of the RB20's is easily removed. A 1/8" bit drills out the two mounting rivets in a matter of seconds. The tiny holes can be filled, but are not noticeable and the finish is applied before the logos are added.

Is the bed liner coating worth the additional $200?

I got the bed liner coating and it appears to be holding up well for the past two years. My wife likes the step and I like that it sticks out enough that it prevents a$$holes from giving me door dings in my truck.

Isn’t the bedliner coating the one people are having peeling issues with?

I pondered this as well and finally opted for the bed liner finish. My decision was based on my planning to keep the boards on the truck for 10+ years. The finish is incredibly tough and looks better than I expected. Best of all, the traction underfoot is excellent, and I would definitely opt for this if you plan to get your feet muddy or deal with icy weather.

Only had mine for about 5 months, they are the powder coated version. They are holding up great, very sturdy and looks great on the truck. I did spray the CRC marine protectant on the underside of the running boards and hardware/bolts before I installed it.

What do you guys think? If you are the owner that was at the north shore mall nice truck bro!
