I caved for 4th of July and bought long travel front and rear.

    What I got:

-Camburg Front LT kit, Billet UCA, Fox 2.5 coil over

-Camburg bedcage w/ Dreaver I96 and Fox 3.0 triple bypass

    -Advanced Fiberglass front/rear

    -Spydertrax 1.5” spacers for rear

    Plan to buy:

    - Camburg shock hoop for secondary bypass up front (Fox 3.0 Triple)

    - SS Built tube bumper rear

    What I have:

    - RCI Slider
    - Victory 4x4 Front Bumper
    - RCI full skid plate kit
    - RCI Diff Skid
    - RCI gas tank skid
    - method 701 17”
    - Mickey Thompson Baja MT 37” tires
    - SDHQ abs guards
    - Icon Billet UCA
    - King 2.5” RR front/rear
    - Deaver U748
    - Camburg Shackles

Anyone with experience with LT kit have any pointers or what to expect. I plan to do the front end myself and possibly the rear end as much as possible except the welding of shock mount and leaf spring perches.

It's pretty straight forward of an install. Glass is a pain in the you know what but just take your time there. You may need 2" wheel spacers in the rear but check the clearance on that. I had to move to a 2". You'll need to sort out the secondary vacuum intake and the engine intake in the passenger wheel well since there's no liners.

I recommend the DK rear shock mounts and king bump stops. You'll need to remove the front stops and I would add duro bumps to the rear most units (Front Control Arms). Also make sure you don't have a driff drop. This will rub your coils on the axles.

I plan on sorting out the Secondary Air Intake by piecing some parts together myself. Also worried about the intake being exposed so much.

I went with the Camburg bed cage, is that what you were describing as the DK rear shock mount? I also got Camburg rear bump stop
Kit with Fox 2.0 x 2.5”. I need to figure out rear limit strap length and location once I get that together.

Get an engine brace. From coil tower to coil tower. Get solid offroad motor mounts. And if you have the funds, box the frame.

One must get an engine brace and motor mounts (solid, kibbe, prospeed etc)

I’m in a situation where my shock towers are pushed inwards toward centerline of the truck, preventing the installation of the passenger side motor mount…and this is with MT setup…

It seems like I am going to have to chop my front factory bump stop mount because it is hitting the coil at full drop. Is this fairly typical. Im not worried about cutting it off but just wanted to see if anyone else is running into this issue. IMG_0886.jpgIMG_0887.jpg

That’s not full droop you have no upper arm, spindle or lower bolt in the shock

I still need to replace my steering rack but wanted to start test fitting what I can. I can’t insert the lower shock bolt in because the shock needs to pivot closer inwards but the bump stop mount was preventing that. I figured the UCA and spindle wouldn’t affect these being bolted together but I could definitely be wrong!

I got the UCA and spindle installed (nuts not tightened but everything seats properly with no binding). The coil still is in contact with the factory bump stop mount as show in the pictures a couple comments up. It seems pretty significant and im at a loss of explanation if others haven't had this issue. On a side not: my reservoir's hose point directly away from my frame and will not rotate in either direction to reposition. IMG_0892.jpg

I made some upper front shock mount out of AL-7075 just because I thought it would be fun. I want to Hard Ano them before installing.IMG_0893.jpg Plan is to make a billet reservoir mount because I am currently recycling the King 2.5 rest mount for mock-up purposes.

I’ll take some billet Resi mounts and tie down. What size coilover you running? Mine clears but it is tight. You’ll want spindle gussets also

Ill see what I come up with for rest mounts and make an extra pair if they work! Should have gotten stuff Ano'd before it got so oxidized. But the coilovers are Camburg spec 2.5 w/ 800lb spring. I probably will go with DK or TC gussets. I was thinking of doing Camburg fully fab spindles but finances are being thrown in every direction with house stuff and other things. The Factory Toyota bedrail tie downs are just too big which is why I made my own.

Pretty much every LT setup, and depending on the truck even mid travel, is gonna require you to cut off the oem bump stop.

Your triple-bypass shock will provide bottom-out resistance due to the position-sensitive valving.

But super hardcore use will often require a hydro bump in addition to the bypass…you’re typically gonna want a full cage at that point.

Not sure if Dirt King makes a shackle and hangar kit for your truck, but if they do you might want to take a look. The hangars help maximize travel with deavers.

Not sure if solid cab mounts are available, but if so you may want to consider them.

Once you get your LT installed, be ready for an increase in turning radius…U turns are gonna be a bit tighter, and tight parking lots will be a bit less friendly.

    I love LT build threads

Mine turns tighter than stock but correct on the smaller parking spaces. DK does make a full spring under kit and bump stop kit.

I ended up chopping ~30mm off and welding a cap over. Wish I had done it before putting my new steering rack in because space was tight. IMG_0924.jpg

I also ended up getting Dirt King front spindle gussets and rear shock mount that welds onto the axle and also has a bump stop pad which I thought was a great design. Im hoping it works correct with the Camburg bed cage but I don't see why not.

I really appreciate all these responses and help. It's definitely reassuring. I love seeing photos of the real details of builds. Im no fabricator but I want to do as much work as I can on it. Definitely learned a lot already.

Depending on how the bed cage is and shock mount you may need to adjust the bed holes a bit.
