I am looking for a good, secure way to attach a front license plate to a new OEM front bumper cover.

    Any ideas?

I heard from a Toyota parts department guy, that the bumper will have divots, that I can drill, and secure license plate to bumper with screws.

Reminds me a an aftermarket bumper I bought for a 2008 Jeep Liberty. Except, instead of drilling holes where the divots were, I just screwed the screws into the divots, making sure not to go too far.

Just seems like screwing 2 screws into a resin bumper might not be too secure from wind, etc.

With my old vehicle moved to a state that required a front plate (old state didn't require) and the dealership just drilled into the divots saying thats what they were designed for. I'd say try that since all our front plates on stock bumpers should be attached the same and it seems to hold for everyone else.
Or just drill thru, get longer screws and put a nut on the backside. Check for access first.

@BubbaW Thanks. I almost ordered that part (Part# 521210C010) front license plate bracket (requires 2).

But when I spoke with the Toyota parts department guy, he said It wasn't compatible, and I also checked there website, but it's not compatible with double cabs. That part will work for 83 variants between 2000 and 2006. It shows only compatible with Access and Regular cabs.

@BubbaW This is what I got from Parker Toyota in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Could be an error somewhere...ugh!
