Well I have a couple thousand miles on my 34" Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain 275 65r20. They are not as impressive as I had first imagined. These appear to be branded specifically for Discount Tire. I compared them to my last set of GY Wrangler DuraTrac's and they seemed on par with them (also having that snow rating was a plus here in Michigan).

    Pro's
    - look fantastic
    - priced right
    - Discount Tire treated me awesome

    Con's
    - Tire squirm
    - Can't seem to find the sweet spot on tire pressure
    - Varying road noise (depends on speed and turning)
    - Hold gravel like a sling shot and let go at high speeds
    - Lost 2mpg - also have 1.75" levelling kit

This is not like a 16" tire with 35's on it. I tried to keep it pretty middle of the road on size. I had the same size on my 2019 Ram (in DuraTrac) and they were so much nicer. I even had a 2" levelling kit on that truck as well.

The squirm seems to be settling down after a few thousand miles, but it still feels a little soft. Had pressures from 36-54 PSI.

Take it for what it is worth. Wish I had sprung for the BFG's. I will burn these up and move on...

Interesting, I had a set on my tacoma and loved them, never had "squirm" issues, although I would need a better description of what you mean by "squirm". I wonder if it could be a load rating thing. what load range did you get?

I’ve never been impressed with a Goodyear tire. Not sure if it’s the rubber compound they use?

I ran DuraTracs on my last Tundra, mostly because I liked their aggressive look. Decent tires, but not great on longevity, and they get terribly noisy when at the end of their lives.

I went back to BFG KO2s on my new Tundra.

By squirm, when I change lanes at freeway speeds and say cross a line or a tar seam you can feel the tires want to shift. Or when on an onramp at speed.

    Load rating is "E"

Yeah load E sounds right to me. The times I have had squirmy issues was due to under inflation or uneven tread wear due to long term over inflation. It sounds like you haven't settled on a tire pressure yet, have you tried Chalking your tires?

That is on the radar for this weekend. I am driving 1500 miles to Colorado next week to elk hunt so I hope to have it dialed in before then.

Good luck, I would be curious what PSI you end up with. I have the same TRD OR wheels and was thinking about getting the same exact tire you got, even the same size you got, since I have had such a great experience with them on my Tacoma. If you can't get them dialed in I might have to rethink my choice.

Thanks, I've been considering those. I am also interested in Falken All Terrain.

I bought those exact same tires last week. I really like them.

I also got a Westcott Designs 2 " 1" lift that I do not care for the ride. Probably going to have it uninstalled. Do you know if these tires will still fit on my Platinum if I go back to the original suspension setup?

    Thanks in advance

I had the same tires and liked them, until it rained. They are terrible on wet roads. The tires were breaking loose on wet roads pulling a 5 thousand pound camper. Luckily, Discount Tire bought them back with 6k miles and I put on a set of my go to tire, Michelin Defenders.

Good to know Discount does that . It seems like a good place to do business.

Thanks for the review. I thought about trying the UTs on my wife’s LX, but I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews.

I’m on my 2nd set of Duratracs on my Tundra. Got 47k out of the first set. Not bad for an aggressive AT (that’s really halfway to a MT).

Pro tip for others reading: They stay quiet if you rotate every 3k. That is KEY.

Just to follow up. I drove from Michigan to Colorado (and back) last month. I just did my first rotation after the trip. The tires seem to be settling down after that trip and a rotation. Seems like a lot of miles for break in. They performed awesome in the mountains though. I really put my truck through some rough terrain while I was out there and have no complaints on the tires offroad. There is no way I could have gone where I did on those OEM Wildpeak AT3 turds.

Update on these tires, they work well for me in California. I have to say the only visual drawback is the molding teets that stick out like crazy. I have been lately pulling them off with a set of pliers each evening. But with what seems like a million, I'll be at it a while

I was no fan of Goodyear when I bought these for my 2014 in 275/60/20 and I love them.
Ride and wear better than the stock 285/55/20 KOs and the 275/60/20 KO2s I had.
    Much quieter as well.

    I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again...
