So I just got myself a 2015 SR5 and it’s chromed out which isn’t my cup of tea. I bought a gloss black grille on eBay since the original grill was just the bland plastic I figured get a whole better looking grille in stead of going with the chrome delete. What I didn’t know is the variety of emblems they use depending on the grill version. I don’t have a front sensor which seems to be why the emblem 90975-02159 is so expensive. Is there anyway to get around buying a $300 emblem when you don’t even need what it’s technically used for? My emblem now is just the cut out, it’s not the full glass piece.

Since you don't have the sensor, you could just cut plexiglass to fit and paint it however you want. I definitely would spend much money on an emblem since you don't need the sensor portion. Heck, depending on your skill, you could cut the plexiglass in the logo so it is more like a 2nd Gen "T" that is in the grille. You have endless possibilities since you don't have a sensor to worry about.

But, if you want it to look like the stock grille. I'd either search ebay or local salvage and find an emblem for cheap. Don't worry about the clips or mounting stuff if its broken, and just glue ot double side tape the emblem to the grille. It will hold, and again with you not having a sensor you just need it to stay in place.
