Question for you Tundra vets...I have a 2018 and watched a video on swapping out the front grill - really simple and straight forward. I have the smoke/gun metal color honeycomb grill on my truck which I like and don't want swap out however the big chrome color pieces are another story. I want to order only these 2 pieces and swap them out with white. What is this part called so I can research. Also do you know if I order them without the grill? Thanks in advance

The top part is called the hood bulge, I personally have not seen the outer portion sold by itself. . Maybe someone else will know more.

The top is a hood bulge, and the lower is a grille. You will probably have to order the whole grille.

    As others have said:

    Top part - Hood bulge
    Lower part - Grille assembly
    Middle part - Grille insert

You cannot order just the surround from the grille assembly without the insert. Best bet is buy a painted grille assembly and then disassemble both your stock and your purchased assemblies so you can get the insert you want. I did that because I wanted to keep my stock limited insert with the sensor. The assembly is easy enough to take of the truck, thank god somebody at Toyota was thinking on the tundra to have the cut out and easy remove clip for the sensor. My Tacoma didn’t have that and it was such a pain to access I didn’t even bother removing the grille when I sold it.

There’s a thread here from @Roman regarding the specifics of the grille for your review.

Great info thanks... Yeah the 2018s at least seem really easy to swap out.
