Getting a grinding noise coming from the front driver side during heavy braking towards the end of the stop.
    Any ideas I'm stumped?

Did you replace your rotors when you did your pads....or at least have them machined?

Haven't touched the rotors since owning the truck.

Maybe the dust/heat shield behind the rotor got bent during installation and is rubbing the rotor. Do you hear this noise around corners as well? Could also could be wheel bearing. Or something not set right.

Well, most likely its the rotors. Its never advisable to ever replace just the pads without also replacing the rotors or at least machining them flat again. Pads and rotors wear together, forming ridges and groves that mate together like puzzle pieces. If you replace just the pads and not the rotors the pads only make contact with the ridges of the rotors which will cause not only poor braking but rapid and uneven wear of the pads.

Grinding when brakes are applied typically spells metal to metal friction. Just remove the front tires to have an easy look, and while the tire is up do a bearing wiggle check.
Not good for the wallet to just throw parts at the problem w/o discovering what the cause of issue is.
After trouble shooting this right let everyone know what you found because we can't hear what your saying, and it might be misinterpreting.

    Bearings new from A1 auto

I'll give an update with my rotors. Grinding noise is happening under heavy while brakes are hot. Nothing when cold
