since I have not had my Tundra delivered yet (early Nov is delivery date) I have a question that I am curious about.
what is the seat height from the ground? I am asking this because my elderly mom may be a part time rider in the truck. while I will have the Plain running boards on it for now, I am wondering if I should invest in a small step, like you can get at the RV store. she sometimes has issues with getting into my highlander (28 inch ground to seat height) if I park in the drive where there is a dip in the ground. she is good at the 28 inch height, but at 30 inches, she needs a little bit of help trying to climb into the highlanger. I know the Tundra sits quite a bit higher and I am wondering if I need to get a 5 inch high step, or a 7 inch (or higher) step so she can navigate into the truck easily. she is ok when the distance of the road to butt height is 28 inches, but very difficult for her if it is 30 inches. it would be nice to have her be able to ride in it right after I pick it up without having to have her chin herself up using the grab handle in order to get in the truck.
Just wondering here if anyone has had a similar issue and if they know off the top of their head if they know the answer.
    thanks!

IMHO, while I don't know the exact height, you'll either want to get her that step, or install some running boards. I traded in a '13 F150, and while my wife didn't need steps for that, she told me "I absolutely want running boards/side steps for this truck."

I dont have the Pro, I have a 2018 TRD OR, but i’m 5’3” and I have to either use my side steps or hop into my truck so i’m assuming she’ll need something to help out be it side steps or a stepping platform of some sort. I have the predator steps with the rail and the step that hangs down and can step on both which is nice.. that said it kills the ground clearance and I hate the look of them. But theyre functional for what youre asking..

thanks. I did not like the look of the predator steps, and told the dealer I wanted the plain running boards instead. I saw the clearance issue and did not want that. I think that she might be able to step on the running boards, but I have been thinking on the 5 inch step as a second assist. my mom is 5'2, and 76, so it's not like she can just hop up into the seat, which is why my original question. I am pretty sure that I am getting the 5 inch step so she does not have to do any spiderman impersonations.
